Assistant Controller


Assistant Controller

 

We have opened a new position within our accounting department and are currently accepting applications for an Assistant Controller in our Bellingham, WA facility.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial statements for all companies to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to regulatory and departmental standards.
  • Review monthly workpapers and adjust journal entries to ensure accuracy.

  • Prepare quarterly estimated tax payments and extension payments.

  • Prepare various audit workpapers.

  • Review audited financial statements.

  • Review federal and state tax returns.

  • Prepare supporting documentation for audits and interact with external auditors as needed.

  • Manage and mentor supervisory and junior accounting staff

  • Inventory / GL reconciliation

  • Average costing analysis

 

Job Requirements:

  • Combination of at least 8 years of experience in private and public accounting

  • CPA license

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Organized

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Team oriented
