this feeder works goodly .I adapted to a g8750 compound slide table .added some digital slide calipers and started milling.beats turning it by hand.
I recently purchased this power feed for my G0759. After I installation it works just fine.
I like it. It runs strong and quiet.
My problem was with the installation. The instructions are a bit incorrect.
Up through figure 5 it is fine. Do not proceed to figure 6 at this time.
You should go to figure 17 and 18. While end is off, the front dovetail is open, but will not be if you mount the power feed. This may be different on your mill. Some tables have open access to the front dovetail all the time.
Now we go back to figure 6 but first remove the end plate off the power feed.
Figure 7 shows going up through the bottom to mount and tighten the cap screws. That will be a very tight fit doing it all from the bottom.
Actually you can make use of a long hex wrench provided. (The long hex wrench is provided but not mentioned anywhere).
You put the screws in from the bottom and bring the hex wrench in from the end to screw in and tighten the cap screws. Then replace the end plate then the bottom as in figure 8.
Now we go on until we get to figure 14.
Grizzly usually provides everything needed to install the things they sell. At least for the things I have purchased, not this time.
They didn't provide the 3.3/#30 drill bit or the m4-7 metric tap. It's not that big of a deal for me, I just went to SAE tap and cap screws I had on hand.
My complaint about this is that it should have been mentioned either in the ad, or as you order, that you'd need the 3.3 drill bit and the m4-7 tap to use the screws provided.
The last alteration needed to mount the power feed on the G0759.
The DRO has a shield across the back of the table.
There is a mount on either end to hold the shield in place.
The mount on the left was screwed to the end plate removed in figure 4.
The DRO shield mount needs to have the hole elongated a bit to allow the mount to be lowered. This will keep the shield even across the back. You can use the corner screw to the back access plate on the power feed to hold the shield mount in place.
You will have to drill and tap the top hole on the shield mount also. By using the screw on the power feed it will move the mount 1/4†to the left.
If you are thinking about getting one of these and want to follow the alteration I have been talking about, click the Manual- PDF.
In the end, it wasn't hard it mount at all. I think this will be a big plus for my mill.
