Can find no reference to threads on pressure regulator. Nothing I've ever seen before. Should be NPT.
Recieved 5 days after order. Tool was crated excellently. Took me almost 3 hr by myself to set-up. No problems everything was there and all the holes lined-up. Really quite easy to assemble. One problem is the air hose connection it is a bare threaded end of a 1/2 compression fitting - why, what am I missing here? My compressor line is 3/8", would think most all are and after going to hardware, tool and home depot type stores there is no way to connect the two. I would have just made my own connection but it runs through the pressure regulator. A call to the help desk could not help. Anyway the work-around a did leaves a small air hiss, bothersome but workable.
Back to the cabinet -- it is a sweet set-up and would have given 5 stars if not for the above problem.
My customer was very happy with the product, and I was very happy that your company delivered direct to my customer so I didn't have to worry about anything. Thank you for all your help.
I've been looking for a blast cabinet for several months reading reviews and trying to figure out which cabinet to purchase. So many choices! I finally decided on this cabinet due to design and pricing. I wanted a cabinet that the beads gravity feed out of the bottom, the unit assembled without any issues and arrived in good shape. I'm still trying different blasting materials but so far I like it.
I called and discussed an issue Im having with a tech. Im using number 13 glass beads which is very fine but it is covering the floor in my shop and cant find out why . Glass is sealed but appears to me its coming from the top of vacuum and I dont think thats normal.
Excellent blast cabinet. I looked at tons of cabinets before buying this one. I'm very pleased that I choose it. It was WAY cheaper than any others in this size range, and I looked at all of them. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a cabinet.
This unit works well, the ventilation system keeps dust to a minimun inside cabinet and outside. Light it bright, and after "fine tuning" the unit works flawlessly with 5second start up.
My only complaint is that the protective film that covers the glass is easily worn out, and grizzly doesnt supply many replacements. Good unit
I received this a couple of days ago and have already put 3 or 4 hours on it. The cabinet is well constructed. It arrived in a wooden box and was packed perfectly inside. About an hour to assemble; a hoist is a great asset as this is heavy. The flow control on the bottom is great. It allows fine tuning for the media: I have used ceramic and garnet so far with excellent results. I have a 5 horse, two stage, 4 piston, 60 gallon, Quincy Compressor rated for continuous duty. This unit needs this type of compressor. In fact, an 80 gallon tank would be better. I was going to purchase the larger cabinet but the reviews indicated it does not have the media/air flow control on the bottom of the hopper. My opinion: this flow control is mandatory for good operation. There are no leaks. The vacuum works great. I am totally satisfied at this point.
