I just replaced the original cutterhead on my Grizzly G0500 8" jointer with your spiral cutterhead, H7654. After running 40+ board ft of curly maple, I can say this is one tool that lives up to its hype. Not only did I get NO TRACE of chipout on face or edge cuts, but the faces actually look like they've been sanded! This will save many hours of sanding, and is truly one of the happiest tool investments I've made in 30 yrs of woodworking!
Kudos, and thanks!
I bought this to run in my ENCO 150-5100. Its an exact drop in replacement and fits perfect! These things live up to the hype. I ran a bunch of red oak through and it came out smooth as glass! Thanks again Grizzly!
I purchased this cutter in December of 2016. Cutter arrived well packaged for shipppng and initial handling. Installation was easy, and for my machine it required no shims. The finish was as good as the Grizzley tech told me it would be. Wood that had fine tearouts with my old cutters was re run with the new cutter and tear out was gone. Even crotch grain was cut without tear out which was a real plus. Would recommend.
Having the pulley and bearings per-installed made installation a snap. The cutter head appears to perform as advertised.
I bought this cutterhead in Dec. 2016 for my jointer. I knew beforehand that it would be fantastic, because I upgraded the cutterhead on my 18" planer a couple years ago. Install was straightforward and went without a hitch 'cause Grizzly includes everything you need for the swap out. I have already put several hours on the new cutterhead and yes, the smooth is worth it. No knife marks whatever on walnut, maple, pear, or even madrone. Impressive!
I just installed this cutter head and it was very straight forward. To say I am an amateur mechanic would be an overstatement. It took two hours and the new cutter head went in without a hitch. The old cutter head needed a shim but the new one did not.
If you are procrastinating as I was because I was intimidated by the installation process, don't be. My hat is off Grizzly.
The finish on the work pieces is so good, it is well worth the money and installation time.
