It took a while to get the sander replaced, as it was broken in shipping.Since I got the replacement machine, I love it.
Awesome sander. Easy adjustments and belt changes. Nice size table. One issue, we almost exclusively use the belt in the vertical position, which puts the power switch to the rear of the machine. This means we have to reach around an open belt to start and stop, wish the switch was on the opposite face of the base.
I bought this unit to sand down the ends of box joints on small boxes that I make as gifts. I also bought a second table so that I could use the disc and belt at the same time without the effort to change the table back and forth. The belt tracks very well, better than I expected. Does every thing I need.
This sander is used frequently in my shop. I use it to perform many tasks required to accomplish my finish carpentry projects. Runs smooth and has quick and easy adjustments and easy belt and disk replacement. It has a very sturdy stand that supports the machine and keeps it from vibrating. Standard size belts and disks are easy to obtain.
I bought this sander last year. It works great. One thing it needs are 4" dust outlets to use with a dust collector. Mine came with a 4" outlet for the disk and a 2" for the belt. A machine like this needs to be attached to a regular dust collector not a shop vac.
My name is J. Sabine and I have a small business in San Angelo, TX making pistol grips and cremation urns. I am not one to write when something works. I always figure if I buy it and it does what it is supposed to...well, it does what it is supposed to. But, a couple of years ago I bought one of your G1014Z sanders. Every time I use that sander I am amazed at its dependability and durability. It is, without a doubt, the hardest working tool in my shop. I have a shop with all of the usual equipment plus a CNC router and this little sander gets more use than anything else. There have been times when it operated 8-10 hours a day for weeks on end and it never failed to do its job.
I just thought I would let you know.
