Description
This highly figured wood is very hard to get, but with our connections and the fact that we buy other wood from this mill, we are able to get these select pieces in limited quantity. Our nice, white, super figured maple is sought after by many custom builders of fine acoustic instruments. Our supplier bluntly told us that all he had to do was make one phone call and it would be all gone - sight unseen in any quantity he could produce! Steelstring size in the AAAA grade only. 8-1/2" x 22" for the backs and 34" x 4-3/4" for sides. One set consists of two pieces bookmatched backs and two pieces bookmatched sides. Very nice! Backs sanded to about .125". Sides sanded to .095" to .100".
