Excellent product 11/10/2018

I have been following up on this table saw for about a two months now and reading reviews on many other saws on the market. It was no brainer that this was the saw for my shop. Its very powerful and the best of all so quite. I guarantee that you will fall in love with this saw and many other grizzly products. I will be buying again from grizzly in near future. Their costumer service is awesome.

Couldn't ask for more 11/6/2018

This table saw is a very good investment. Cuts like butter and is well made. Setup is very easy even though there is room for improvement when it comes to the instructions. Wish the shipping was as good as the product. Boxes came damaged. Luckily there was no damage to the equipment. However, they did manage to loose most of the hardware, but Grizzly took care of that really fast. Plan on buying more products from grizzly in the near future.

Yes I am very happy with my new saw and the people who help me crack my problem what my saw cover thank you very much for everything

Go833p 8/27/2018

Heavy well built not a lot of use yet have cut some 2 inch walnut maple and cherry with included problem is with the micro adjustment on fence sits to high when ripping a board it sits on stud of adjustment ideas a review on here that said u cant use thin curf blade I called and asked about that and its because of the riving knife u can use thin curf blade just have to change riving knife or remove it over so far I am happy with the saw also bought zero insert havent had time to put on yet but very well made I know that and a new forest woodworker 2 well make a big difference on tear out and cut !

New table saw purchase 8/4/2018

First nice table saw I have purchased and it works great. A few tweaks and I am cutting with ease

Works like a dream I!! 7/28/2018

It is the best ever for the typical wood shop
Also buy the dust collector !!!

Excellent right out of the box. 7/17/2018

Solid unit that performs like it's bigger cousins. I am very happy with this saw.

Love this saw 7/15/2018

Very pleased with this saw. Everything works perfectly and the set up was easy.

I have had the saw for 6 weeks. It was easy to assemble and manual was very easy to use. 7/13/2018

Once the saw was assembled, most of the adjustments were very close. Going through the manual and making all the fine adjustments to tweet the saw in was very easy. The saw works extremely well. I was concerned that the two horsepower maybe not enough to use a dado blade but I found this to be totally inaccurate there is more power than needed for most applications. The only defect with the saw was the t-square sliding bar that goes into the table was cracked. I've emailed Grizzly with pictures of this and I'm waiting to hear back from them on a replacement.

Amazing saw for the price. 7/8/2018

I have to say this saw is amazing. I absolutely cannot believe I waited so long to purchase it. It was very simple to assemble.(by myself). It cuts effortlessly the table and blade were true and didnt have any issues with leveling the table. I upgraded from a Bosch contractor saw (which is really good) tho this Grizzly and couldnt be happier. I HIGHLY recommend this saw to anyone.

Had no problem setting up and overall promptness of delivery was great. Will definately buy more Grizzly products in the future. Thanks

Very satisfied 6/15/2018

Bought the saw to replace a 12 year old Ridgid portable saw. Cant be more pleased. Fan cover was damaged by freight co. Grizzly had a new one shipped and it arrived within 2 days.

My first experience with Grizzly and just saying WONDERFUL! complete happy with the quality of the table saw. Before, I had a table saw Ridgy and wanted to upgrade it and I'm really glad to choose Grizzly, every time that I turned on is a pleasure to hear the smooth sound of the motor. I really recommend it!

Hybrid Saw Review 5/17/2018

Great so far.
The only item that I think is a bit off is the lock knobs. They don't positively lock the blade height or angle. It hasn't caused any problem yet but I imagine it could. The adjustment wheel will turn when you are locking the knob if you don't hold it from turning and you can still turn the adjustment wheel even if the lock knob is tightened as much as possible. I can see if you were going to lock the blade height in after making a micro-adjustment and forgetting to hold the adjustment wheel.

I am very happy with the dust collector making almost dust free has plenty of power for ripping

Great saw and customer service 5/10/2018

When I was cleaning the packing oil off of the extension wings i noticed a crack along the finished edge, called customer service and they said they would send a replacement out. However, they are on back order until June and asked me to call back the next day to talk with a tech. Tech did say I could use the wing until then and they also informed me the new extension would be at my home in less then one week and it was. As for the saw it works great for the work I do lot less dust in the shop with vacuum attachment above the blade. Will be buying more products from this company.

Great saw! 5/4/2018

Bought about a month ago and so far so great! Really love how quiet the saw is. Cuts are precise with very few adjustments out of the box to get things trued. Would definitely recommend and buy again. Also, excellent shipping and customer service as always from Grizzly.

Great tablesaw! 5/2/2018

I bought this saw to replace a 15 amp contractors saw that I had used for several years. The difference is night and day. Saw was delivered on time and was well packaged. All the pieces were there. When I set it up the table to blade was only .002" off-good enough for me. Assembled the saw by myself, was a little tricky but only took a couple hours to get it together. I also got the Bear Crawler mobile base for the saw, works like a charm. Rolls around my shop easily and locks down nice. Mounted my Bosch router table to the saw, only had to enlarge two holes on the table to get it to fit. In all I am very happy with this machine! Cuts through red oak like butter.

Very solid saw however 5/2/2018

The order shipped in a reasonable amount of time and the driver was very helpful in getting the product to the shop. The saw was easy to put together with two persons the

The concern I have with the order was that most of the items that require adjustment on the table saw were considerably out of adjustment. This includes the angle stops on the blade the angle indicator, and the table top. Nothing was even close to within adjustment.

I have not had a chance to use the saw yet maybe this weekend.

Great saw but the fence leaves much to be desired.

Loving it!!! 4/24/2018

A very good saw with a fantastic rip fence. I love it. I bought my old saw in 1974 from Sears and I still use it, but the Grizzly is a real upgrade.

Several years ago I purchased and used a Grizzly 1023 cabinet saw while living in Texas and it worked well. Having sold it and moved I decided the G0833P unit was correct for me at this time and ordered it. It arrived on it's right side, not standing on the Grizzly shipping pallet. I was concerned about the shaft that adjusts blade tilt as it punched a hole in the container.I have assembled the saw and fortunately found that everything works well. I was also concerned that the table might have been knocked out of adjustment. It was not and the saw cuts smoothly and without vibration.I mounted the saw on the heavy duty mobile base and am surprised at how well the blade cuts smoothly and evenly. The fit and finish is excellent and the hardware packs were complete and exactly correct. An improvement in the instructions could be made by discussing the appropriate height to install and adjust the front rail as this cannot be determined until the bar and the fence are added to the assembly. Some discussion ahead of time might save some extra loosening and readjusting of the bolts. It was a small adventure but worked out just fine. In reporting my concerns about possible damage before unpacking and inspecting the saw, I found the folks at Grizzly very cooperative and "willing to make things right" should that have become necessary. Good job, Grizzly folks, and many thanks for providing a quality unit at a reasonable cost.

G0833P 4 month review 3/25/2018

I bought this saw in November 2017 during Grizzly's Black Friday sale. Pros, The saw has good power, a nicely machined cast iron top and wings and very smooth adjustments for blade height and tilt. Cons, the blade guard dust collection is weak, the riving knife is thick and requires the use of a full kerf blade, wasting wood and creating more dust, the saw comes with 2 blade inserts but they are stamped steel like you get on a $99.00 portable saw and are not flat, but the most trouble I've had is the fence. I've adjusted it exactly as the manual directs and it still drifts! The cam lever is a rough casting instead of a machined cam. After a 3 month wait I received another cheaply made lever. I recommend anyone looking at this saw to consider the price of a new fence before buying this model.

Could’ve been a great saw for the price... 3/25/2018

I bought this almost a month ago and have been working with customer service for a couple of weeks. Now I understand that this saw isnt a Sawstop, Powermatic or a Unisaw so I didnt expect for everything to be perfect. Which it isnt and I dont mind except for one major flaw. The rear of the blade kicks back 0.009 when lowering the blade. If anyones familiar with the Ridgid R4512 trunnion issue, this is the same thing. After some troubleshooting and some strange band aid fix from Grizzly I was told that 0.009 shift is within tolerance with this type of saw... 9 thou is not that bad until you cut long pieces and the problem magnifies. I wish this info was in the spec sheet as I wouldve bought a different model or brand. Now I have to make sure everytime I cut that the blade has tension las if I was raising it if not my cuts will off. If I knew this I wouldve stucked with my R4512.

Very good saw 3/22/2018

Excellent saw. Very good fence system. Very good micro adjustments for cutting accuracy

Great product that didn't have all the parts. 5 stars for the table saw. 1star for QA 3/14/2018

I've had this saw for over 2 months and it was love at first sight. The saw works perfect. Aside from the love of this saw there is a problem that you need to consider before buying one. Mine was missing parts.More specifically the bolts, washers, and nuts to the fence slide rails. I contacted sales and support asking them to please sent them right away. In response they asked me to go thru the parts list and type out a list of part numbers and qty. I said, " that is your job not mine. I paid for a complete table saw. You go thru the parts manual and figure it out. It's all the nuts and bolts to the slide rails for the table saw fence". I ended up going to home depot and picking up the hardware ( $30 ) . Three weeks later the hardware was shipped. Missing some of the bolts. I couldn't believe it. According to the invoice the bolts were on back ordered. Now, we are 2 months into this and I haven't seen the back ordered parts. I was going to order a band saw and planner thru them but this was way to much BS. Again, I love my new table saw but the people that are running Grizzly I hope you get bit by a zombie. BTW, I already submitted my review to Amazon but used words like, " you suck " and " horrible " and " you suck".

Replaced my aging cabinet saw with this one. I wish I had done this years ago! Fantastic value!!!!

A substantial and accurate table saw for any skill level. 3/8/2018

The first thing that struck me about this saw is the rock solid weight. Its not something youll be taking up and down stairs. I did purchase the Brar Crawl mobile base so its very easy to move around the shop. The cast iron top is dead flat and adjustment of the fence is quick and accurate and a wonderful relief from the contractors saw I have dealt with for a few years. I chose not to change the wiring to 110V and kept the 220V wiring in place. The saw cuts through a 4X4 post without slowing at all. Raising, lowering and tilting the blade is very precise and easy with the large diameter wheels. The top of my to do list is adding a router table extension. I wonder if Grizzly offers that!

Very nice saw! 2/26/2018

After much debate and research, I settled on this saw. I believe I made a good decision. This a very solid saw with many great features such as the paddle shutoff switch, the riving knife and hefty construction which leads to being very stable. I like the dust collection in the blade guard although the hose is a bit cumbersome. All the adjustment wheels and their actions are solid and smooth. I love the Easy Glide fence, but I have one little glitch with it. When I press down the cam lock lever, the opposite end of the fence actually moves toward the blade about 1/16 of an inch. I am hoping I can adjust this out, but so far, I haven't been able to. This may just be a characteristic of this style of fence, but I'm not sure. Don't get me wrong, this is one solid fence and and is as straight as an arrow, not to mention but I will anyhow, that it weighs about 30 #s. That is hefty! I did buy a Freud Diablo 50 tooth Combo blade and will install it very soon. I really like the saw and am hoping it lasts the rest of my days................

** Update** Could be great? Maybe? Yes! 2/19/2018

I bought the 10" Hybrid Table Saw (G0833P) 9/29/2017 and it was delivered SUPER fast, I live in Dallas, TX and it was here in 3 days once shipped, crazy fast for something that had to come on a lift gate truck. Overall the fit and finish is good, there are a couple areas that are maybe a little off, it seems at though the table wings are not 100% flat but close enough for hobbyist needs, and it is possible I can work with it some more to get the tables to be completely seam free. After a couple times of using the saw I started to trip the tables 240v breaker. It would attempt to start and seemed as though the motor would start to spin, but possibly vibrate or labor then trip the circuit. This is to say the saw seemed to have some issues at times starting, while other times it would start just fine. I called in to technical support 10/30/2017 and Bob was very helpful, we went through the symptoms and he ordered me a new breaker because I noted the button seemed to be a little loose when resetting it. Also because I noted what sounded or felt like vibration or hesitation he put a new start capacitor on order to make sure this was not the issue. Unfortunately I was told these parts are on back order (ended up being about 7 weeks or so to get them)...

** Update ** I received the parts after a special rush was put on and with the help of the support team I was able to get them installed. Sadly this did not fix the issue.

Next I talked to another great support tech that ran me through a couple other things to see if there were issues with the on/off switch, unfortunately that too was not the issue. After another conversation, with tech support they decided that it was likely a bad motor or winding in the motor so they ordered me a new motor, and while this was on back order, it was only a few days to get it once put in queue.

Once I received the motor I popped it out, verified the wiring and had it in the table for a test. Thus far I have not had a ton of time to work in the shop, but the couple dozen times I have started the saw, at 90 degrees and various other positions and heights have netted me a saw that whirs up immediately!!!

While I had an initial disappointment that I was not able to make use of the saw, and it took a bit longer to get it going than I would have liked (based on back order timing), the Grizzly team was FANTASTIC to work with and has me well taken care of.

The only downside to this if I had to give one beyond the wait time, I was waiting to purchase a new jointer but wanted to hold until I knew I had a working table saw as this was my first purchase through Grizzly. During the time it took to get everything working (3ish months) they repriced their catalog and I will now end up either having to buy a lesser jointer, or pay $100 more than previously. I was not comfortable enough to buy a second piece of machinery while I had not successfully got the first piece running, so in end the gift certificate my wife bought me for Christmas will be a wash with the price increase, this is the reason I did not 5 star the overall rating.

Good saw for the money 2/13/2018

My G0833P order was finally completed in about 4 weeks due to the shipping company losing one of three boxes. Not a Grizzly issue at all.
I had to dismantle the saw in order to move it (by myself) from the garage to my basement workshop. Please note, it is a big mistake to remove the top as it has been adjusted and shimmed at the factory. When I removed the top a shim fell out and it was by trial and error that I found which corner it belonged on. This setting is critical when setting up the adjustment for 45 degree cuts. Note too that the top is held on with just 4 bolts but that the front corners also have tiny Allen screws that need to be removed if taking the top off. The instruction manual is very good and explains clearly how to assemble or adjust everything.
Once reassembled, I check the arbor run-out and found it difficult to measure as there is no bare shoulder to put a dial gauge on. I basically measured it as best I could and found it to be out about .015. With the Grizzly supplied blade mounted the blade run-out was .007. With a better Freud blade I measured .004. Very acceptable. When I first turned the saw on the vibration was awful. Further inspection showed the washer under the arbor nut was off-center. Why would Grizzly put a large washer with a 15/16 arbor hole on a 5/8 arbor? I now know that the nut has a shoulder that fits into the washer to keep it centered. Its difficult to see and assemble them properly due to the limited space. Its not a great design. When properly installed, vibration is minimal.
I measured the miter slots to the blade and found them off due to my having removed the top. I loosened the 4 mounting bolts and squared up the top. Basically I got the slots within .003 of the blade.
The main dust collection outlet is 3 13/16 diameter, which means your 4 hose is not going to fit well. I cobbled together a metal adapter to couple the outlet to my dust collector. Collection is very good once when connected to my 1.5hp dust collector. It would be nice if the dust collector outlet could be moved the rear or left side to be closer to my dust collector. The over-arm dust collection works great but as usual the guard and hose gets in the way, so its been removed. Problem now is to find a way to plug the 1.5 diameter hose outlet to maintain efficiency.
Perhaps the worst feature of the saw is the sloppy fit of the blade insert. Short cut-offs easily fit down the throat and impact the dust collection plastic with a bang. At the time I ordered the saw a zero clearance insert was not available, but I see it is now. I tried to make an insert but it is virtually impossible to make one due to the shallow shoulders for the stock insert.
Installation and adjustment of the rip fence is pretty straightforward. I did not use the auxiliary aluminum rip fence but substituted a wood fence. Works fine. The 2hp motor has sufficient power for my needs. I ripped 2 thick red oak without a hint of bogging down. Overall, its a very good saw with minor annoyances. For the price, its an excellent value but youll need to spend time adjusting and setting it up to meet your needs.

Great table saw 2/8/2018

great table saw, have used portable/jobsite table saws last 20 years, and huge difference. Much better cuts and a lot more accurate.

A lot of saw for the money 2/5/2018

Ive been woodworking as a hobby for about 10 years and It was finally time to purchase a saw I deserved. I did a lot of research and this checked all the boxes as well as the right price. Over the years my shop has slowly become Grizzly machine after Grizzly machine and they make amazing products. The dust collection works like a charm and that was one of my main reasons for purchasing this saw. If you want the cabinet saw without the high price tags and large motor this is the best on the market currently.

Bought this last month. Shipped on time as promised. Instructions were complete and understandable. Went together easily with just myself, even though the instructions suggested use of another person. I did use fixtures as assists. Saw works great, love that it came wired for 220 Volt operation. Would be nice to have the option to mount the on/off switch on either side. Im used to the switch being on the right side and the saw mounting is on the left. I will get used to it.

GREAT HYBRID SAW!! 1/26/2018

I just bought this saw within the past month.
Delivery was a breeze. The lift gate service was needed . But I was able to get all the boxes 3, to my shop with a dolly , 200 ft . Down my drive way.
Assembley was a breeze.. I put mine on The grizzly mobile base , it was easy to assemble and fit fine under the Saw cabinet. I do have a Gantry I built with a 1 ton chisn hoist which was need to lift it up to get the base under the cabinet.. you will definitely need two or three persons to help if u dont have such a lift!! LOL its hesvy! Even without the extension wings on..,

Only adjustments for setup that were needed was squaring the fence to the table.
Converted it to run on 115v. Also very easy!
Put on measurement tape.. first run was great its very quiet!!! Smooth.. made few cuts on some 1/2 birch plywood wow. So clean so accurate...
I did install a quality 80T carbide blade

Im impressed for the money its an awesome saw....

Highly recommend.... THANKS GRIZZY!
Goes great with my extreme 14 band saw ALSO GReat!!!!

I have been threatening to replace my table saw for, oh, 20 years or so. I just couldn't pull the trigger (or credit card) for a full cabinet saw, and I found problems with each hybrid as it came out. The new Grizzly met most of what I have been wanting, and catching it on the Thanksgiving sale made it an easy choice! Like all new machinery it has a few issues, but I feel certain that Grizzly will iron them out with time.

When my saw arrived via UPS Freight, the driver unloaded it and wheeled it into the garage. I was concerned about the hole in one side of the box, so we opened it while he was there; good thing, because the end of the motor had rubbed forcefully against something between China and me. The motor case was pushed in and up so hard that there were impressions from the cooling fan blades in the steel motor end cap. The top edge of the cap was folded/creased like tissue. YOW! I sent it back, called Grizzly, and had a new saw within a few days.

Assembly went smoothly. The miter gauge slots were dead parallel to the blade. It was easy to adjust the fence and miter gauge to (respectively) parallel and square to the gauge slots. Adjusting the 90- and 45- degree stops on the blade tilt went well, though the 45 is a bear to reach. The blade guard/riving knife mount was perfect too. Extension wings were co-planar with the table, no shimming required. Fence rails went on easily.

I like the lock for the riving knife/blade guard. It is an easy reach, and it is easy to operate. So too with the arbor lock when it comes time to change the blade... it sits just exactly where you want it to as you go to perform that operation.

I also bought a Forrest WoodWorker II blade for my new tool. My first cut on this saw was a rip of some scrap 3/4" plywood. I engaged the blade, took the front edge of the scrap back to the riving knife, and stopped.... just let the blade run in the kerf for about 20 seconds. I then finished the cut. Not a speck of a smidgen of a trace of a burn mark, nor any sign of a tooth track where I had left the workpiece engaged with the running blade. Amazing. I want to try this with some scrap cherry next... you know, the wood that burns if you look at it wrong!

It was during the initial tilt to 45 degrees that I discovered a design issue. The blade is surrounded by a dust collection shroud. In the right-hand corner of the throat opening, nearest the operator, is a projection of the cast-iron top which holds a set screw for leveling the insert. In that same area, the dust collection shroud has a spring-loaded panel designed to keep the shroud around the blade even when it is tilted. On my saw, when the blade is set to 90 degrees, that little hinged panel is able to open up UNDER the lug holding the set screw. That is fine until you go to tilt... and the hinged panel remains hung up under the lug, and the dust shroud then prevents more than about 5 degrees of tilt.

The fix is easy... a) remember to pull the throat plate before tilting and push the little hinged door over as you crank the first 10 degrees, or b) epoxy a little block under the lug that prevents the hinged part from moving quite so far under the lug. I haven't gotten to "b" yet, but I will!

Like many other reviewers, I, too, have noted that the set screws and knurled brass lock nuts that adjust the fence vertically sit high enough that they would block use of the miter slot if the fence were to be in exactly the wrong spot. I have tried, and failed, to imagine myself using both the fence and the miter gauge, both on the right side of the blade, at the same time. I just can't see this being much of a problem. I followed other's suggestions, and tried to mount the fence rail as low as possible, but there really isn't much play when all the screws are in.

Blade guard: Nice that it has dust collection for the dust thrown off the top and front of the blade. Nice that it has separate side panels so you are protected on narrow rips and short cut-offs. Not so nice that the dust collection hangs/runs just where you want to look to check the position of your pencil mark vs. the blade. Not sure how you would fix that one...

Speaking of dust collection, the outlet on the side of the saw, under the right extension wing, claims to be 4". It isn't. More like 3 3/4". I discovered, quite by mistake, that a fitting designed to fit 4" dust hose on one side, and to slip inside 4" PVC pipe on the other, is just exactly right! The I.D. of the PVC side matches the O.D. of the saw fitting perfectly! Good snug fit. I am getting very good, though not perfect, dust collection, even with my 650 CFM dust collector. I expect it to improve when I finish hooking up my more potent DC.

The early lack of a zero clearance insert seems to be under remedy. If the online catalog is to be believed, the throat plate from the prior model saw will also fit this one. Unfortunately, Grizzly keeps saying 'backordered'. There is another online source for this plate, a Hardware store in the Highland (hint, hint), but I haven't ordered yet. Ordinarily, I would just make my own, but since this thing is 1/8" thick, I suspect that a custom made out of phenolic plastic is the way to go.

Bottom line: this saw is more than enough to keep a home handyhack and wood butcher like me happy happy happy... time to go build that bed frame I have been promising the spouse for, oh, 20 years now!

Great product 1/25/2018

I purchased this saw a month ago and I am thankful I did

Great experience and great saw (minus one design flaw) 1/23/2018

Finally saved up enough for a hybrid saw. Everything came in great shape, not a single problem with shipping or arrival conditions. I had everything I needed for a smooth assembly. I had someone help me with the two table extensions. All told, it took me about 3 hours to fully assemble, clean and align. It does survive the nickel test. But there are 2 things, that drive me nuts. The riving knife came way out of alignment and I haven't been able to get it back in alignment for either the knife itself, or the guard assembly, but that may be more of user-error than anything.... And as far as I can tell, I am not sure it is going to be possible to make a zero-clearance insert for the table, and that seems like a design flaw to me. Otherwise, it is very well-built saw and I am happy with my purchase.

I love it, well built, solid table, really great professional fence. Easy to put together. Mine was missing the nut and bolt package, customer service was quick and responsive.

Very accurate saw. 1/17/2018

I bought this saw about a month ago, and I am not disappointed at all. After getting the fence set up exactly the way I wanted it, it stays true, and is accurate. Ive never been able to use the tape on any saw before. Its perfect on this one. The motor is smooth and quiet. All I really hear is the blade whistling in the air. It also suits my needs as far as power goes. I just ripped a 2 1/2 thick board of Birdseye maple with ease. I was expecting a little trouble, but I have no complaints. I own a grizzly table saw, band saw, and jointer. All of which I would buy again.

So far, I am pleased with my saw. 1/16/2018

The product arrived damage free. The delivery man was very helpful. Assembly was facilitated with the manual you sent. I ran into a couple of problems that I'll discuss later. Everything ( parts, fit and assembly ) were fine. Once the electrician was done I did a few test cuts with your blade. The results were OK. I got a Forrest 10" 40T Woodworker II blade and the results were fantastic ! This saw ( I believe ) will be a source of enjoyable wood working for many years.

I bought this saw in October. There was a dent in the fence, and Grizzly sent a new one right away. I wired the garage for 220v and absolutely love this saw. The alignment was true out of the box. Instructions were well laid out and easy to follow. I am glad I chose this model, for a home DIY guy it is just the ticket for building cabinet drawers, barn doors and other items on my remodel list. I am very happy with the value for the money I spent.

Too soon to tell. 1/12/2018

Have not had a chance to use very much for having to correct issues. Dented motor fan cover, breaker on switch did not work, missing mounting screws for on off switch and now a vibration I cannot find. Wandering if I have a lemon. Will give updated review later.

Hobby Shop Saw 1/11/2018

Love everything about it except the blade guard. I cant see anything once the wood goes under it. In theory it makes sense especially the extra vacuum capability for dust control but it only lasted a day.

Other issue is I have 120v electrical outlets and the sales person told me the saw came with a conversion kit. It didnt. Cost me another $30 and a one week wait to use my new saw.

I do recommend it but buy the conversion kit at the same time Save yourself time and money

Great Saw! Mediocre Service. 1/7/2018

Simple setup and smooth operation 1/3/2018

I've only had a few weeks of use on this bad boy, but I'm loving everything so far. It's nice and quiet, and has no problem cutting through anything I've sent at it.

A word of advice though: If you have a small shop, spring for the Grizzly Bear Crawl mobile base. The foot-operated lever is a godsend.

Very Impressed right out of the box! 1/3/2018

Purchased this as an early Christmas present to my shop. Very happy with selection of the G0833P. Everything out of the box was perfect, and Owners manual was very well written. My original table saw that this one is replacing, I bought new from Sears 30 years ago. I still remember how tricky the setup was. This one was a breeze! Excellent price, excellent saw! Con: So new that they don't offer a zero clearance insert for it as of yet.

Still waiting 1/2/2018

Bought this saw prior to Christmas, fast delivery by UPS.
My saw has been sitting in my garage since being delivered!
My saw will probably still be sitting there for another 2 weeks!
Neither UPS, nor Grizzly can seem to find the box containing the rails to my saw!
I guess I can name my saw "KETCHUP!"

Best bang for the buck 12/30/2017

Love this saw. I was ready for delivery with a dolly and piano cart but didnt need it... The delivery guy wheeled it to my garage for me... thank you delivery guy...
After getting the saw to my basement shop and setting and tweeking everything I couldnt be happier. Plenty of power and the fence is dead on... perfect addition to my shop..
I wish the power cord was a couple feet longer but everyones shop is setup differantly. Plus, I can fix that... for the money I feel I got a great buy comparred to the pricey saws that do the same thing.... thanks Grizzly for supplying woodworkers with good products at a reasonable price....

Could Not Be Happier 12/28/2017

Very powerful in combination with a Forrest 40 tooth Woodworker II blade. Easy to setup, easy to adjust, excellent dust collection

Nice Saw 12/28/2017

This is my first cabinet saw, and so far I am really pleased. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, is that the box the fence is in, doesn't have enough cushion or packing, and mine ended up with a little ding at one end. A couple of quick passes with a file took care of it, but it shouldn't have been able to break through the box so easy. If it had been any worse, I would have rejected the box. Other than that I am enjoying the heck out of it.

Love this saw 12/27/2017

I have owned several table saws and downsized from a cabinet saw to this saw. It is easier to set up, adjust and use than any of my previous saws. Love the dust collection and easy on/off blade guard and riving knife.

nice saw 12/27/2017

I really like the saw. It is quiet with plenty of power. When it arrived, one of the fence rails was rusty. The exhaust system from the guard to the dust port as shown in the photo was not included with the saw.

I bought this 1month ago and love it. however I have 2 issues with it. after 2 calls you got me the right screws to finish putting it together. I just used sliding guide that push's wood through saw and its 1 degree off center. to use it I had to pull the pin out and lock the handle to make it square. I was in a hurry to cut my board so I didn't try to fix it or if I could. when I get back from Christmas brake I will call you if I can't get it adjusted right. spending 1000.00 dollars you would think you would have a accurate guide.

My only disappointment is the dust collection system. While the specs say it comes with a 4" chute, in reality it's only a 3.75" chute. I don't know of any 3.75" connecting ducts. When I called the technical support line they were aware of the issue and are "working on a solution". I was told to fill in the difference with tape or Styrofoam! Since this saw is not on a dedicated line in my shop this is somewhat of a pain to hook up the system every time I go to use the saw. The paint job on the lower cabinet could have been better... but some wax should have sealed the surface.

Very happy with the saw, 1 issue front rail tube 3 out of 5 bolts stripped, waiting for a new rail. Saw is everything that I expected I was able to zero the saw within .003. The saw was easy to assemble and I purchased a high end blade so I can not review the saw blade that came with the table saw. Dust collection at the base works very well, have not used the blade guard yet, over all the dust is at a minimum.

Great Tablesaw 12/21/2017

I bought this table saw about one month ago. There was some hesitation based on it being a new model. I had originally considered buying a rigid or delta saw from one of the big box stores, but those saws are no comparison to this grizzly. This is the best value of saw for the money and I expect it will last for a very long time. The saw was easy to assemble with great instructions. Very few adjustments were needed to get it dialed in. This is my first grizzly machine and based on this experience, it won't be my last.

Motor has plenty of power
Blade tilt and lift operate smoothly and consistently
Saw is quiet with almost no vibration
Great fence design (high accuracy and repeatability)
Build quality is excellent and saw is very heavy and stable.

Blade dust collection is not very effective
Included blade is of lower quality
There is no place to store accessories on the saw (push sticks, miter gauge, wrenches, etc)

Finally got it all the parts 12/17/2017

Saw arrived with a little damage but not worth sending back. Customer service was great they sent out parts as soon as they could. Dented access cover, fence all replaced. My only complaint is I was missing most of the hardware to put it together. All of this heavy duty packaging and the nuts and bolts were in a flimsy bag that had split on the bottom. Yes customer service sent out more most were correct but I needed to go to the hardware store for a few items still. But got it all together it seems to be fine. (Would have been nice to see a grizzly hat show up with the parts just for my troubles.) I think its a great saw and would recommend it to everyone.

Excellent saw 12/15/2017

This saw has lived up to all my expatiation, very easy to assemble. This saw runs very smooth and quiet.

Great saw with hidden limitation 12/15/2017

If I had known at time of order what I have learned since the saw arrived--I would not have purchased this saw, I would have purchased a different saw from Grizzly. The reason I would have not chosen this saw is because it is essentially impossible to equip the saw with a zero clearance insert, which is important to me. I believe that not including this limitation in the descriptive literature is deceptive. I did not have any success in making a deal to return the saw when talking to Cust. Svc.--it was box up and return ship at my expense and a restocking charge. This all added up to making an alternative purchase too expensive.
In all other respects, the saw is great and as described. Set up took a bit of time, goes better with a helper, supplied manual is just excellent in supporting set up and operation. If a buyer had strict and limited uses for the saw which did not require zero clearance insert, I would happily recommend the saw. The limitation should have been disclosed in saw Specifications>

Love it! 12/14/2017

This is my first table saw, Ive been woodworking DIY, and a few pro projects for years. Ive got a couple weeks on the saw sounf small furniture projects, so far and the thing does all that I could ask and more. Very precise alignments, Good fence, powerful cutting, ripping, dado, lap joints, its just awesome!

Outstanding Table Saw!!! 12/6/2017

I was very happy with the quality of this table saw when it arrived. Very easy to set up and get it running. Included all the tools you needed to put it together. UPS freight destroyed the first saw that Grizzly sent me. I called customer service and told them that it was damaged. They had a new saw sent to me within 48 hours. I can't say nothing but great things about Grizzly. I have used the saw a few times since I got it and it has run perfect for me. I'm looking forward to years of run time on this!!

Awesome Saw !! 12/2/2017

I ordered this saw after MONTHS of reading reviews for other table saws. I researched Jet, SawStop, Shop Fox and Delta, but I kept coming back to Grizzly. The reviews for this saw were excellent, so I decided to pull the trigger and place my order, and Im glad I did. My saw arrived about 5 days after I placed my order and it came UPS via semi truck. My only issue is when I placed my order I thought it would have been unloaded off the truck. The truck arrived with no ramp or lift gate. The driver told me that for an additional $120 I could have gotten the lift gate. I was fortunate that the driver was helpful and patient. I had a stack of 2x8s and a sheet of plywood and I made a makeshift ramp. We got the saw unloaded with no problems.
I was super impressed with the weight of the saw. I unpacked the saw and assembled on my own with no problems. All parts were there and labeled. The manual was laid out very nicely and instructions were very easy to follow. I was thrilled to see that all the screws, washers and nuts were in separate bags for each part of the saw. Once I got the saw together the extension wings just needed a little masking tape to make the table perfectly level. Cleaning the parts of the packing oil was easy using WD40. I have to say that fine tuning the saw was super easy because most of the adjustments required little work on my end. The bevel on the wings didnt match the main table but that shouldnt matter. The quality of all parts and construction made me glad I made this purchase.
I purchased this saw to replace my Ridgid contractor saw and WOW what a difference. I installed a Diablo blade and along with the 240 volt outlet needed, this saw cuts through wood like butter. What most impressed was the quality of the cut, it was smooth as glass. Im new to woodworking but with this saw Im super excited to start my new endeavor. I would highly recommend this saw to anyone.

Nice second saw for my shop set up for one purpose of cutting dado's 11/21/2017

Nice cabinet saw 11/17/2017

This is my first table saw. I was impressed by how close all the settings were. I went through and checked all the settings with a caliper. There were very few things that I needed to adjust. The manual is very good at explaining things and has good pictures to back it up. I even thought the blade that was included is good.

I love this saw! 11/15/2017

I bought this saw as an upgrade to a contractor's saw that I have had for the past 10 or so years. My wife bought me this one for my birthday and I have to say that between Grizzly support and the quality of the saw - I am more than happy.

First, I found the setup easy. Just remember to put the front fence rails down all the way or the adjustments on top of the fence will be above the table level. I made the mistake of having them too high at first.
Second, just take your time in making adjustments. It required a 240 Volt circuit be added to the garage, but that was no big deal.

I have it all set up and the adjustments stay in place nicely! The fence is solid and it is such a joy to use - definitely an upgrade from what I had!

I look forward to many years of service from this saw.

Great saw, drawbacks with the fence system 10/31/2017

We went to Grizzly in Bellingham, WA looking to purchase G0771Z after verifying they had it in stock. They did not - in fact, we were told it wouldn't be until January until we could possibly get one.

During the discussion with the employees I noticed an couple issues with the saw -
The first was that when the fence was set to a certain distance, there is an adjustment bolt at the back of the fence that runs into the miter gauge - so if you plan to use the right side miter gauge slot, tools could run into this adjustment bolt. The salesmen indicated that an adjustment of the fence would need to be done for the showroom floor model, but upon assembly, there's some adjustment, but not that much. I also identified another issue related to the fence system - which I will explain later.
The salesman also indicated the "upgrade" door allowing access, to make changes to the blade easier - I remember this specifically as I joked about the contorted fingers trying to get a dado set in my previous saw. The salesman failed to realize the access door to the cabinet is on the opposite end of the saw arbor/bolt - meaning the door is for another use not related to blade changes.
I asked if there was a difference between the top of this saw and the G0771Z - and they claimed no, they all have the same cast iron top. I indicated that I remember reading the G0771Z doesn't have the "precision machined" top that this saw showed on the flyer - and they argued with me. Based on the description of the G0771Z and this/other saws, this has a better top.

The last point can be a Segway - the top is attached to the base upon shipment. The wings are kept separate. They are all oiled to the hills with cutting oil, and the underside of the wings, while painted, also had loose shavings still attached. Once assembled, a vigorous cleaning of the top was required to rid the cutting oil (understood this was meant to reduce possible rusting of the top, but it seemed excessive, as the wing boxes themselves were bleeding the oil on the outside of the cardboard). Upon waxing the entire top - you can see the variance of the type of cut in the top from the center section to the wings.

The assembly of the saw was pretty straight forward, with the exception of some incorrect verbiage regarding the back fence bolts (they are not all the same metric thread size).

The saw is quiet (in comparison to a couple older contractor style saws I had previously) and seems powerful. I ripped through some maple and purple heart (4/4 and 5/4) without issue in regards to the saw. The base is sturdy and the top (so far) is flat.

Now the problems - the fence system.

As indicated above, there is the problem in regards to the adjustment bolt on the fence able to obstruct the miter gauge/slot. This gets worse - the instructions don't indicate where to place the fence other than direction and to be even with the top. However, if the fence rails are placed too high - that same pesky fence adjustment bolt will actually sit HIGHER than the table itself - which causes the wood you are trying to push through to not sit flat. I will now have to completely re-adjust the front fence to fix this. If you buy this saw - take note.

The fence adjustments - there seems to be "feet" under the adjustment bolts - the front "foot" (as it's called in the instructions) leaves marks on the back fence. This led me to realize that the adjustment bolts/feet have a soft plastic that glides across the fence. I forsee these to be a wear item, and am not overly satisfied with that.

There aren't any "micro" adjustment knobs on the fence.... It's basically, bump it to where you want it, bump it back, bump it the other way.... tap, ok maybe there. The 2 previous saws I had utilized fence/rail systems that had a micro adjustment knob (one built in the 1950's and the other the 1980's) and am surprised that a saw of this caliber doesn't have that.

The fence system is sold as an upgrade over the G0771Z - in part because it has an aluminum rail that can be flipped, for close quarter/shorter wood to be cut. This is the 2nd problem I pointed out to the salesman, and upon both assembly and use of our saw - it got me without even thinking.

The aluminum fence can be rotated 90* to allow for more precise cuts or shorter wood cuts. However, when the aluminum fence is rotated 90* for the short wood cuts, the distance from the edge of the fence to the blade now changes. This means when you assemble the tool, with the fence in the "tall" position, and apply the measuring stick for the fence system and then use the fence in the 90* position, your measurements have to be manually done (can't use the on-rail measuring stick). My point is that there should have been room for 2 measuring adhesives and/or one measuring adhesive that represents both directions of the fence - if you're going to engineer the fence to do that, then the measuring tools for the fence should be engineered to be utilized both directions.

All in all the saw is great, the fence is sturdy, but needs to be thought out better.

The photos I've attached show:
Variance of how the top is cut (wing vs top)
The fence obstruction to the miter gauge (this is also the adjustment bolt that sits higher than the top in it's current build)
The 2 photos of the fence - the fence hasn't been moved between the 2 photos, rather the aluminum portion simply turned 90 degrees - in one photo the miter slot is fully shown, in the other, it's fully covered (but notice, the measurement shown never changes).

Great saw. 10/25/2017

The saw came quickly and was easy to unpack and set up. Required a little adjustment but for the most part was ready to go. Supply this saw with 240v and it's a beast. Effortless, accurate cuts. Recommend highly. Great value!

GREAT SAW! 10/1/2017

This is my first "real" table saw and I am impressed with how heavy and sturdy it is. The packaging was good. The cardboard box is sturdy and disassembled without cutting cardboard. The inner packages were marked with the contents. I did not see any damage to the parts. I assembled it easily by myself. I only had a few challenges. I installed the front angle parallel to the table top. I let it sit low in the adjustment slots because it was easy. The fence was too low and dragged on the table even with the adjusters. I raised the front rail in the slots and it is good. I aligned the rear angle parallel to the table top. As I tightened the final screw, the rail deflected 0.030" at the end. When I loosened the screw, it returned to being straight. The table extension is slightly longer than the main table (I made the tables flush at the front). Tightening the screw into the main table caused the angle to bow. I will add a shim to fix it. The rear chamfered edge of the main table does not match the extension tables. I don't think it will affect the function. The saw runs smoothly. Dust collection seems to be very good. I recommend putting the saw on wheels. It is very heavy. The weight is a good thing unless you are moving the saw.

Solid Table Saw with Great Dust Collection 9/28/2017

I bought the saw based on Grizzly's reputation since reviews of this new saw aren't really out yet.

The top of the fence, which will be the face of the fence in low profile orientation, was damaged a little bit during shipping. Its not a huge dent, but if I was running something along it and had pressure on the front it would move the workpiece. Grizzly was very nice on the phone and sent out a replacement part.

Aside from that, the saw is very solid. All the pieces are heavy, blade guard on top moves smoothly, fence glides well.
I wound up taking the top off to make it lighter when wheeling it around my to my basement door. Even without a top, it was heavy (in a good way). Nothing on it feels cheap. The trunnion are attached to the cabinet so the top can be adjusted if needed.

Assembly is easy and straight forward. Dust collection is great so far. The blade guard dust hose does a good job of getting most of the dust kicked up from the blade. The guard moved smoothly, and the riving knife is easy to swap in.

Being able to change the fence from tall (standard) position to a low profile position makes cutting thin material close to the blade much easier. Everything can be adjusted to get it dialed in for perfect cuts. It really feels like a saw that will last a very long time.

There are a couple pre-drilled holes on the right end of the fence that could be used to attach a wood wing or maybe a router table, which is a nice touch.

I bought the Bear Crawl mobile base to go along with it. I have a small shop in my basement and the base makes moving is around very easy. Inside the bottom of the cabinet there are four bolt holes (2 of which are used to secure it to a shipping pallet) which I used to level the saw on the base with some bolts.

I made a short review of the saw on YouTube which gives a quick overview of it if you want to see some user video of it. Search for Chimp Woodshop G0833P on YouTube

I am very happy with my purchase and looking forward to years of great use.

A quality-built saw 9/17/2017

I just received the G0833P saw that I ordered a few days ago. It arrived as scheduled, with no damage to the shipping containers. Although it has considerableweight, I was able to get it into my shop without much difficulty.
After carefully unpacking everything and a quick reading in the manual, I assembled and cleaned the machine. The instructions recommend a second person to help with the heavy work, but I completed the work alone without much difficulty. All the parts and pieces and hardware was there, we'll packaged and labeled. Assembly went smooth with no issues at all.
After assembling, I did a preliminary check for all the crucial alignment points. I was very impressed at how accurate everything was! I plan to wait a few days to let the machine settle before I make any adjustments, but at this point I doubt much adjustment is needed. I am very impressed with the quality, fit, and finish of this machine. I made a few trial cuts and got great results. Straight cuts, smooth finishes, and very quiet operation. Tried the "nickel" test, there is just no vibration! Cut through some 6/4 oak, no problem at all.
I would highly recommend this table saw to anyone who appreciates quality machinery. It is very impressive. Being a new model, there were no reviews to read before I ordered it. But I trust Grizzly as a brand, and have purchased several pieces of equipment from them in the past, with no quality issues. Great products!
The only issue I did find with this saw was that there was no provisions for leveling the machine. No base levelers were included. Maybe the reason is that most woodworkers mount equipment on Mobil bases. But that is not a big issue. I used rubber non-skid pads under the corners and a few shims to get it perfectly level and very stable.
This is an exceptionally well built saw. I would give it 6 stars if that was possible!
