Using patented solid-state starting relays, these Autogen Static Phase Converters allow you to operate moderate 3-phase loads on a single-phase circuit. Provides instant reversing and full-time 3-wire power on motors operated at 70% continuous HP or 90% intermittent-duty (15 minutes or less with equal motor-cooling time). Select a converter with a HP range that fits your 3-phase motor. For high start-up loads, choose the converter with the largest HP range that fits your motor. For heavy loads, high-duty cycles, or applications with digital controls, only use a Rotary Phase Converter.

I bought this a few weeks ago . Hooked it up was easy to wire up .works well for my lathe have a serface grinder to get in place and try that. Now I have 3 phase power from 1 phase power.

Works great 4/19/2016

I'm not much for writing reviews, but this thing works really well. I have probably had it for a year now and runs my 2HP full sized "Bridgeport" 9X42 mill just like it did when I moved it from my old location that had 3ph. It starts and reverses just like it did before. It was easy to wire, the instructions were clear, and the manufacturer was VERY friendly in answering any questions.I have ran it many hours, and I'm getting ready to order another larger one today for another piece of equipment. Compared to getting 3ph to your shop or replacing motors, it is a great value. The only time I ever turn it off at the breaker is when there is a bad storm (if I remember to). The manufacturer says it can be lightning sensitive.
