This proprietary solvent is used to cut dry shellacs, French polishes, manufactured spirit stains, varnishes, removers, and may be used to dissolve aniline dyes. This unique blend of alcohols has been featured in many woodworking publications as "the" cutting solvent for shellac flakes.
