Love the ease that we can move our new machine around the garage on wheels.
Concept and materials are first rate. Well done. However location of bolts and clarity of assembly instructions rates a 3.
I purchased 2 of these mobile bases for my drill press and jointer.
Easy to assemble and setup.
Other vendors offer their mobile base with free delivery option.
I wish Grizzly can provide free delivery as well for their products.
Great accessory to my new band saw. Easy assembly with good clear instructions. Well built.
A great product for the money, it needs to be sized for a perfect fit but now I know that it will work on other tools in my shop I plan to order one or two more.
This is the 4th one I've bought and still love them, just wish I had bought another one at the sale price! :-(
Purchased a couple of these bases and they worked out very well. Only problem was trying to install locking nuts backwards on bolts. Had to screw on the normal way, remove and reverse orientation. This created a thread thru the nylon portion of nuts enabling installation of lock nut.
Provides excellent stability as well as mobility for my router table. Easy assembly.
Got this week's back. Our shop floor is cracking and not level and in places it's hard to move. Solid mobile base and some adjusting to.fit the machine snug. The stops work well so the base won't roll.
I bought this a 2 month ago, haven't put it together , yet , I bought one last year and it works great. make it so much easier to move things around
Easy assembly. Does what it says it does. Smooth rolling and handles a large tool well.
Bought this for my new table saw and it sure makes it so much easier to move it around. Very stable. No wobbling.
Serves my G0771Z quite well. Don't go for the cheaper ones on other sites, they truly are 'lesser' quality and capability. The Fox is strong and well made. Your equipment investment deserves it!
I have a rather small, albeit comfortable, shop so major machines like my new table saw need to be mobile if I'm going to get the most out of my shop. This base was easy to assemble and allows me to move an almost 500 lb saw easily, yet it stays put when I need it to.
Heavy duty base that adjustable. perfect for my band saw.
I purchased the G0690 cabinet saw a couple of months ago. I went with the ShopFox mobile base for my unit which has worked out great. Installation was a bit challenging for some of the bolts as the space provided for them was very tight. Overall, I'm pleased with the product and would recommend it.
It does exactly what it’s supposed to and makes my bandsaw mobile. Only downside was that I had to cut down two of the pieces to make it a tight fit on my bandsaws base.
I purchased this to set my G1023RL tablesaw on and I can say that it works great and it doesn't raise the height but about 1/2" and is real stable and I am going to purchase more of these for other tools.
Very strong and stable base. 4 swivel casters would be better than just two. No complaints.
Needed to adapt to a much smaller shop space. Not wanting to downsize to a smaller tablesaw and bandsaw required making them mobile so I could continue to use them. Being able to move them made this possible. The base is well made and quiet sturdy. You'll be pleased with it.
I bought this mobile base and it works perfect. I would buy again and recommend this item.
As compared to others, I preferred the D2057A design; however I was disappointed in the workmanship. I was able to assemble the product and put it into use. The mobility offered by this product, for the price, is well worth the investment.
I bought this to get a chop/slider saw off of my work bench. Mobile Base is is sturdy. This gives me the opportunity to move the saw out of the way while not using it. Move it in place, lock it down to the floor and use the saw. When done, move the saw back out of the way. Just what I needed in my Man Cave.
This is well worth the investment, with a few touch-ups... I bought a pair, immediately took out the M8-1.25 cap bolts for the rails, and replaced them with good, quality stainless steel, cup point socket set screws (M8-1.25 16mm) which left, for me, the right amount of height to still use the supplied nylock nuts. I also upgraded the casters to higher quality, same-size bearing poly casters with a higher weight rating (I saved the supplied casters for other projects - they're fine, but the new ones make my heavier machines roll around like butter!). Lastly, I made sure to try-fit my machine bases, scribe matching hole locations to the support plates and then drilling them out with a step-bit. Do NOT just set your base on the roller base and go.... make sure they are securely fastened together. THIS IS NOT for a machine that needs to be kept on a precise level (lathe, mill, higher-end cabinet table saw, etc) as none of this type of bases (that anyone makes) can provide that type of support -
It looks like a good base but all the threaded holes had to be tapped out because of the welding job by the threads. To much heat. The manufacturer should be told about this problem.
I also ordered two catalogs that haven't arrived, is anyone home there?
This is a great heavy duty roller stand with low profile wheels. Well contructed and adjustable. Would recommend.
I have had this mobile bast for a month and it works really good under the 300+ lb band saw.
Do not buy this base. The base is not a great fit for the G0833P. The knobs that turn are almost impossible to turn and do not allow for the base to stay in place. The holes that you insert the feet into required me to drill out excess metal imperfections to even get the feet in the slots. And why are we putting lock nuts on a bolt upside down? That is just not necessary to create a box for this thing to ride around in.
It’s a great base, no concerns at all. Does what it’s suppsed to do.
Easy to assemble, works great. It is now simple and easy to move table saw around.
Very strong base ..well built and designed.... compared to a big box store one I had bought ...Bought to put my new 1023 saw on and very happy with it .. a bit tricky to put together around the saw base but do-able .. I did it by myself..I’d have this base on all my machines !
There is a design flaw that Grizzly knows of and doesn't tell the customer. When the bandsaw is placed onto this base, the base is too deep to allow the bottom door to open. When I called, they knew about it and just didn't bother to either fix the issue or warn us that the saw must sit on a piece of plywood to be raised to an adequate height for proper operation. Lazy and inconsiderate of the customer, who has to lift a 350 pound saw off the base to correct the issue.
Reccomend a different way to lift The screws are hard to turn and i have to get on my knees to resch.
This is a great mobile base. The only thing that I would have liked , is for there be a way to raise and lower the wheels.
The base went together easy. I was able to fit it to my table saw with ease. Works great!!
It took a little while to thread the lock nuts on backwards, but what a great mobile base. I'm going to get one for my drill press now.
Bought two and assembling them is a real pain (way more than others that I've done). Like many of the other reviews, I found that the stops do not work well and putting the nylon nuts on the bolts backward is very difficult and time consuming. The casters do not swivel very well at all. A few of the corner supports were bent and had trouble threading some bolts. Not a good fit for the G0833P nor the G0555.
Good enough for me, however the magnets the hold up the two legs while moving are not strong enough.
It works pretty well for what it designed to do. I'm not sure what it's missing but I feel like it's missing something. I do wish that it had a pedal to raise/lower its load. Assembly was a pain in the rear because I had to assemble it around an already assembled saw. It doesn't "fit" perfectly around my G0833P, either.
It would be much better if all the wheels could turn instead of just the front two. Also, the assembly instructions requires that elastic stop nuts be put on screws backwards. That is very hard to do. Definitely a crappy way to lock the frame together. Otherwise it appears to be sturdy.
Some assembly required, batteries not included, void where prohibited, must purchase to play. This is a great mobil base for my old heavy 8" jointer. My pet Tyrannosaurus Rex wants a pair of these for Xmas!!! I've bought 3 of these to date, 2 of them are the super heavy duty and they all do the job moving heavy cast iron machines around the shop.
This mobile base will be helpful in positioning the saw.
I needed to shorten the bolts on the bandsaws bottom door side to allow to fully open the door. Other wise very happy with the unit.
Got this as an accessory for a new G0778 bandsaw. To make it fit, I had to cut two bars, so I wouldn't call it a good match for the machine right out of the box. The assembly instructions leave a lot to be desired, and I found myself doing partial disassemblies and backing up a couple steps throughout the entire process. Honestly, it took way too long to get the base together properly. I couldn't have done any worse without any instructions at all. Having said that, this is a truly heavy duty base, and is rock solid. Once built, the quality is very good, as it should be in its price range..
Tight space in my shop . The mobile base allows me to easily move the table saw when needed.
Very well made and easy to assemble.
I love this product!!! well worth the money! easy to assemble and easy to use, makes moving my saw around a piece of cake!!
These are a necessity if you have a smaller work area that allows you to move the unit easily!
Great product. Well made, strong, well thought out product. highly recommend this mobile base.
I’m glad that I bought this. It makes moving the table saw a breeze.
would not slide into each other fare enough to make it snug must be some weld buildup inside the bracket
Very easy to set up. Operates easily with the saw on it. Must have accessory.
I wish there was a maybe option on the "Would you recommend this product". I bought this for my bandsaw because I wanted the saw to be lower to the floor than it would be if I built my own base. It's pretty good and seems pretty sturdy, but it's a general use base, which provides some difficulties.
One thing that others have mentioned and I found out what they're talking about, is the bolts that hold the rails in place get in the way of my lower bandsaw door opening. So I had to cut off the heads. Not really a problem, since you're unlikely to be taking it apart again any time soon, but still, it's bit annoying.
The second thing, and it's kind of a big thing, is only two wheels swivel. I really dislike that. My joint came with the three wheel only one swivels, and I built a new base for it with four swivel wheels. It's so much nicer! I really hate the two swiveling wheels setup. Since my shop (garage) is pretty small, I'll probably be moving my bandsaw a lot to get it out of the way.
I have a feeling it won't be too long before I build my own mobile base and just raise the whole thing up about four to five inches. The saw is really a lot more stable and less top heavy than I thought it would be.
So - it's a qualified recommendation for the base. If you're not going to move your tool around a whole lot, it's a smart buy.
This wasn't my first choice, not even my second choice, but the associate I spoke with over the phone recommended this, it was the best price and it's more than adequate for my 200 pound saw.
Nice stand. Easy enough to assemble. I would like it to move a little easier because I have a small shop and need to move things around a lot. But for the most part good strong stand.
I bought this to accompany my new Grizzly Hybrid G0771Z and it mates perfectly with it. I can move my saw easily and it gives great support. I am very happy with both products.
I've bought two over the last year for my Grizzly bandsaw and hybrid tablesaw. Easy to roll and lock down quickly. They are a great fit for both machine bases (a lot of adjustability).
This base is is sturdy and Extremely easy to move. I have a G0715P Hybrid sitting on it. Had to have help putting the saw on the base. Even then, it wasn't easy. Note I said "sitting" on the base. I move this saw quite a bit, including up and down a ramp. When starting up ramp or coming off ramp, the saw usually shifts and tips out of the forward or trailing edge of the base. I've yet to find a simple way to attach the saw to the base. Any ideas?
invaluable if you have a small shop.
I would buy another for a different tool
This is the most recent of several of these bases I have purchased for different machines. It goes together in a straightforward manner and allows me to move shop tools around in a tight space. I think is is well worth the money.
Great accessory for my new table saw. Easy to assemble, works great.
I am really disappointed at this mobile base. I would have assumed that GRIZZLY has better designers. I was using this base for the 10" hybrid table saw. This base is difficult to assemble and more difficult to mount the table saw onto it. You would have to have means to pick up the entire table saw and sit it onto the base. The casters are undersized and not rated for the weight of the table saw. They don't roll and the two screw down stop/locks are an embarrassment. one caster already busted - buna N (rubber) already peeled off. I am using this inside my garage. It comes with 2 swivel casters and 2 fixed ones. it makes it really difficult to maneuver around given the small dimensions of the base. I replace the 2 fixed ones by 2 swivel ones and it helps a lot, but the swivel casters cannot spin 360 degrees, they get stuck against the base itself. Overall, my professional opinion as a Mechanical Engineer: Terrible design from the manufacturer. For the weight of my table saw, the best design would be total weight divided by 2. that means I would recommend a minimum of 300# casters, 4" outer diameter wheels, swivel casters. I wonder if I can return this item and the casters. Feel free to comment and ask questions. I can upload pictures when I get home but 3MB max size seems too small for anybody's cell phone in today’s world - I can try.
Very solidly made. Not designed for any specific tool, so had to cut two of the extension bars to customize the fit. A couple of minutes with a hacksaw and voila! Suggest assembling and fitting the saw base to this base before you install the saw itself so you only have to lift it once.
Once assembled and set the mobile base is very stable, rolls easily, and locks to the floor with just a couple of turns of the stoppers.
Nice and heavy duty- can confidently load it up and wheel it all over the shop with ease. Similar to other comments, the threading on one of the threaded posts was junk. If I had the tools to thread it the rest of the way I'd be good to go. As is, I can't thread the knob into the foot post far enough for the foot to actually do its job.
It was ok, I had to use a tap to clean one of the leg screw holes.
I was able to build and place on the G690 completely by myself. It is the second one I purchased. I have one on my Grizzly shaper as well. It lays flat but makes moving the 500+ pound saw a breeze!
I bought this for my G0555 bandsaw and it works great, the casters roll easily, the fit is snug, and it doesn't get in my way when using the machine. However, there are two minor issues I have with this base. First, and the most minor, the instructions tell the user to install the locking nuts backwards this needs to be fixed. Second, the knobs used to lift the base can be hard to turn and given the small size of the knobs and the plastic used it's easy for your hand to slip and scratch your fingers. I've taken some sandpaper to the knobs' edges which help, but using a cam system would be better.
I bought this base and the extension kit to move my new cabinet saw around the shop. Luckily I had attempted to move the display unit at the Springfield MO store and immediately found it to be cumbersome with the two fixed wheels setup. I took to the reviews and found that others had the same issue. The fix is to purchase separately the L and R swivel corner brackets, two swivel casters, and both magnetic knobs and floor levelers, about $75 total and install them in place of the fixed wheel supports. You cannot use the fixed wheel supports with the caster wheels, not enough clearance and no way to level it out. Once all six caster wheels were installed the saw was able to be moved in any direction without pivoting or turning, but it can do both of those if required as well. My saw moves effortlessly across the shop floor which is VCT tiled, so pretty flat. The levelers only allow about 1/2" of clearance so if you have any obstructions higher than that on the floor it won't clear them. I would have given this five stars if I could have ordered it as a six caster wheel setup, as it is I have two fixed wheels and supports for a Shop Fox base if anyone wants them.
It's a shame the products are made in China. Trying to put nuts on the bolts for the wheels was a pain in the ass. You need to be a contortionist to do it. Although the product was heavy enough to do the job, you can see all the shortcuts the Chinese do when making it.
Went together with no problem. My only complaint is that one of the screw down "leveler/position locks" threads bind really bad making it almost impossible to lower the foot to stop the base from moving.
Very good purchase. With this I am able to move my table saw easily around my garage.
I haven't been able to use the base because the saw I bought to use it with has not shipped.
I purchased this for my new band saw. It is a good solid product with a lot of flexibility in terms of how to configure it. Instructions are easy to follow and it goes together quickly. My only caution to purchasing this is the "floor clearance" if you have anti-fatigue mats or something like it on the floor. The clearance between the bottom of the base and the bottom of the wheels is very small and a heavy machine (like my 14" band saw) will make the wheels sink into the mats and the base will bottom out pretty easily.
The base is excellent for its intended use. It is a general purpose product meant to fit many different pieces of equipment, and would not adjust small enough for the band saw. I cut a couple of inches off the 2 side rails and it fits perfectly. I assume a smaller base that needed no adjustment would be lighter duty.
One of the taps for the bolts the stabilize the base was very poorly tapped. I had to force the bolt through with pair of pliers! Still does not hold the table saw in place even now!
The day after I ordered the mobile base you announced a grizzly model in your on line catalog,I would of rather had that but overall I'm satisfied
Been setting up my griz 14" bandsaw on it, skipped the feet for the bandsaw. Been setting it up for going on a week, no hurry but I can move/position the saw anyway I desire; have not used the lock function yet but it seems like it will work as well as the castors on moving. If I have need of another I will buy it
I have limited space and need to park my table saw when it is not being used. This base makes moving the saw very easy. It is well made.
The leg adjusters are not tapped very good. Too tight to turn in. Afraid I will break plastic adjustment knob.
After almost 8 cumulative hours trying to trim and fit this piece of junk, it wouldn't level my saw. It just wobbles endlessly in the base. Needless to say it's dangerous as it is.
First of all, despite Grizzly's recommendation, it's too big for the G0513X2BF, so I had to trim down two of the sides by 1 1/4" each. Then despite trying 3 different configurations, you can't open the lower access door without elevation the tool with a 3/4" piece of ply or cutting down all 4 of the bolts on the door side to get clearance. The due to the globby welds, I had to open the base a bit to keep the saw from teetering on a weld. Even after all of that the saw still teeters back and forth and now I've cut this thing up so much I can't send it back. Save your money for something else.
I like the fact that the machine I mounted sits very close to the floor. I would recommend all four wheels be swivel as it moves well in one direction but is poor trying to move in a circle
Nothing to say except this base works great with my new G0715P table saw. Was easy to assemble, size to the saw base, and tighten down. 5 stars for sure.
Does the job. Had to go out and buy a metric tap. One of the holes for the stationary levels was not tapped all of the way through. Also one of the welds looked suspect, but its holding up.
the shop fox mobile base is a must for anyone who has the need to move the machines in their shop it make moving my planer very easy I will be purchasing more bases!
I bought this base so I could move my table saw out of the garage to do my cutting. Base is heavy duty and easy to adjust, only problem is it is very low to the floor. Bolted on some wood blocks to raise the space between the wheels and floor and now it's perfect for my needs. If you have a nice smooth floor you won't have to make this adjustment.
I loved the fact you don't have to lift a 430 lb bandsaw to install it.
I purchased this with my order of the 3 hp Shaper. It works very well. The assembly was easy and more importantly, it was simple to install under the 400 plus lb shaper.
The base is good but the wheels are not very good. I use this for my Grizzly table saw which is a great saw!
I found the perfect replacement wheels for it! These have no play and ride smooth. As an added bonus they are 1/8" wider and have a bit more surface area.
I also added some heavy duty grease to the caster bearings and that helped too.

This mobile base comes with two swivel wheels and two fixed wheels. If you intend to use this on a large piece of machinery like a table saw, etc it becomes extremely difficult to move it around. The only way I found to overcome this issue is to order additional parts so that all four wheels swivel. If you don't order these parts at the time of purchase you'll spend an entire evening taking the thing apart to upgrade to four swivel wheels like I did. Because there are so many bolts and parts on this mobile base you really only want to install it all together once!
After talking with Grizzy and going over the manual you'll need the following parts to make all four wheels swivel so you can move your machinery around with ease.
Part #: XD2057A001 - SWIVEL CASTER x 2 (You will need TWO swivel casters)
Part #: XD2057A014 - RIGHT CORNER BRACKET W/FOOT POST
Part #: XD2057A016 - LEFT CORNER BRACKET W/FOOT POST
Check to make sure your corner bracket with foot post includes TWO of XD2057A008 - FOOT WITH MAGNET AND XD2057A009 - KNOB M12-1.75 (You will need this foot post and knob to raise your machine off the swivel casters when machine is in operation.
You can potentially use or re-use (like I did) the bolts that come with the fixed casters. They work fine. Just don't over tighten or you may sheer them.
Now onto the review. It does take a good amount of time to get your machine raised up, especially if it's something quite heavy and you don't have any overhead hoist/craine. I use a big long crow bar to lift sides of my table saw and put wooden shims under it till I got the machine high enough to fit the corner pads under my table saw. I guess hoisting with straps overhead could also get you up into the air an inch or two if done safely.
The stand seems fairly stable and strong. I wish the leveling feet raised higher and were smoother in operation. For the money you can't beat it. But if you have welding/fabrication experience you can definitely build yourself a much better stand for a machine but you can easily climb into the hundreds of dollars with time and materials. So you'll have to judge your requirements. In all it's decent and does the job even though it's fairly cheap / inexpensive material. It is a good way to get low cost machinery and shop items up on wheels but again you'll want to replace those parts so that your equipment can be moved in omni-directional fashion.
I need to keep my saw mobile and this works very well in my garage
