Made to demanding specifications, these motors offer the same quality as the motors we install on our heavy-duty machines. All our motors are standard NEMA 56 frames and fit over 90% of the woodworking machinery on the market. If you have applications where dust, oil, chips or other foreign particles are the norm rather than the exception, you should use these Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled Motors (Enclosed). Motors are dual voltage (110/220V) capacitor start. They feature standard NEMA 56 frames, all ball bearing construction, reversible rotation, 5/8" shafts, and are rated for continuous duty.

Specifications:

  • Type: Enclosed
  • Size: 1/2 HP
  • RPM: 1725
  • AMPS @ 110V/220V: 8A/4A
  • Reversible rotation

Yes, I'm happy with the purchase. The replacement motor is of a higher quality than the original motor.

I have been using it all day long every day for a month and It ran with no problems. It was recommended that I buy this motor for the tool that I needed it for, so I am very happy. It also arrived very quickly. You can see my old handmade beater (a 16th century pulp beater replica) along with my new Holland Beater.

Very nice motor, well designed and works great, thanks Grizzly!

Recommended for use with Mark Lander's Critter paper beater

This was recommended to me for use with a papermaking beater. It was easy to set up, and works well. Very quiet and efficient for what it's doing! The only downside is the cable box is too small to install any kind of electrical switch, or at least any that I could find at the usual hardware stores. We hooked it up to a power strip instead of a switch and it's fine.

Great product, less than desirable shipping.

Installed this motor on a paper pulping machine, and it is running very well, very easy to install. My one complaint was that the styrofoam it was encased in was completely obliterated during shipping, so I had to flush little static ridden pieces of it out of the motor before using. Other than that everything was perfect.
