Like red wagons and Teddy bears, rocking horses have never gone out of style. And rocking horses made by hand by a loved one are more than classics. They become family heirlooms to be ridden, enjoyed and cherished for generations to come.
The U-DO Pony Rocker kit makes it easy to create an heirloom of your own. The kit includes 22 board feet of hand-selected pine along with dowels and a U-Bild plan to show you how to “trace, cut and assemble.” Handsome and sturdy, our Pony Rocker features a limited rocking motion, rounded edges and wooden hand grips and stirrups for safety.
The completed Pony Rocker measures 44 inches long by 25 inches tall.

ALL Red Kits require planing and jointing of wood. Red Kits require the skill and tools to cut and make joints including panels. The woodworker needs to be able to cut, join, assemble and finish. Red Kits require the woodworker to be able to read the plans and to transfer images and dimensions from the plan to the lumber. It supplies all of the needed hand-selected, dimensioned lumber but woodworking knowledge and tools are recommended to be successful with Red Kits.
Advanced Skill Level
You may need to possess knowledge of: gluing up panels, joints including – miter - dove tail – biscuit – dowel – mortise and tenon - tongue and groove – dado as well as other, ripping, detail cuts, sanding, router, drilling and finishing.
Although all kits do not require all tools, Red Kit builders should have the availability of a planer, jointer, band saw, chop saw, table saw, jig saw, drill press, router and bits, disc sander, assortment of saw and dado blades, assortment of hand held power tools, assortment of cabinet making hand tools.
Fasteners, glue, hinges and other hardware ARE NOT INCLUDED in the base kit, but in many cases can be purchased in a U-DO hardware kit, or choose your own details for a personalized finished item.
