Ive been using it for about a month and cant believe how well it controls the dust, it takes a bit to get used to it but I would recommend it for keeping the dust down

Great Product 12/27/2017

I've had trouble with dust flying over the top of my table saw for years now...and have just put off getting one of these overhead arms. I was hesitant at first, because I didn't want something to be "in the way" when pushing through the table saw. While its is something that hovers of the table saw, the trade off for having a cleaner shop is worth it. Great addition to my shop.

Very well made 12/21/2017

Very Nice Setup 12/16/2017

A little maneuvering to get together by yourself but I think its very nice Well built body and stand and the blade shroud is very large. I have an extremely large table saw (Powermatic 72) so it works out well Might be pretty large for more normal size saws I don't know. Many have complained about its "dust collection" abilities. it's not a dust collector its a blade guard with an additional ability to collect some of the debris that gets thrown back at you.I think though if you have the cfm it does an excellent job. Most table saws are pretty notorious for bad dust collection and this certainly helps. But again I'm drawing 2500 cfm from it so that's quite a bit. I'm happy though It covers the blade and keeps stuff outta my face

Excellent product with Delta Unisaw and Grizzly 3HP dust collector 12/4/2017

I recently purchased this to collect the dust that sprays out of the top of my Delta Unisaw. I drilled some extra holes into the steel support brackets to bolt it to the mobile frame I had previously made. I didn't need any of the parts that would normally go to the floor, but I appreciate the highly configurable setup of this product.

A picture can can be seen here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/rezPpsz0kNXJxS0D3

My dust collector is the G0441HEP3 HP Dual-Filtration HEPA Cyclone Dust Collector (which I really like). The lower dust port on the tablesaw is a 5 inch port, the vertical rise seen in the picture is 6 inch. The new overhead collection is connected to a 4 inch port. The dust collector works very nicely with both the lower and upper ports open at the same time. If the lower port is closed, the insert will be pulled out of the table on the top. I always turn the collector on before turning the saw on so I don't see this as a safety issue.

The product could be packed better, as suggested by others. You can see how it was packed in this picture: https://photos.app.goo.gl/cjP7gfqkSEsZC05C3

I find it very easy to adjust higher when using my sliding table, and it does an outstanding job on my rip cuts where I pull it down lower. The unifence works pretty well with this setup with the fence in its lower position (opposite of the configuration in the picture) as it is easy to get the push stick in close to the blade. It's a lot tougher in the high fence configuration if the stock is narrow. I originally got the unifence to make it easier to use a power feeder, but it works well with the overhead dust collection too!

Effective after-market product 11/26/2017

Very few table saw manufacturers offer effective above-the-table dust collection, and blade guards are often awkward. I got this unit for my Powermatic 66. Overall, I made a good choice, however...

The shipping packaging was of poor quality. The cardboard was very soft, and the styrofoam was weak and crumbly, making unpacking very messy. This combination also provided minimal protection during shipping. The package was dropped or crushed during transit, resulting in a dent on the 4 hose connection area. Fortunately, the hose fits over that part of the tube so functionality was not impeded.

Assembly instructions leave much to be desired, with minimal details both in terms of explanations and illustrations. A certain level of experience and knowledge with all things mechanical is required. Adjustments are finicky, with lots of trial and error involved, especially with regard to the height of the dust collection boom and distance of the vertical boom support from the table. Use of the table saw connection bracket is extremely important in order to maintain proper alignment of the blade guard with the blade. Again, minimal instruction is provided on how to assemble and attach, so some improvisation was necessary to adapt to my particular saw.

All that said, the unit functions as I had hoped. Between the above table and built-in cabinet dust collection, virtually no dust escapes during cuts. Ripping narrow stock is a bit problematic, but its easy to lock the guard just above the table if need be.

It took a little getting use to but it's great. It cut the dust level at the saw by 90%
A great addition to the shop.
