Simple, solid, and extremely accurate. This 6" x 26" Vertical Milling Machine is carefully built in Taiwan with heavy castings throughout for rigidity and accuracy. Just like larger and more expensive mills, the headstock tilts left or right 45° and rotates up to 90° in both directions, so you're not limited when it comes time to machine complex angles. To ensure maximum power for 110V operation, we used a 1-1/2 HP TEFC spindle motor. Speed changes are quick and easy with a stepped-pulley V-belt drive system. To keep table movement gliding effortlessly, all ways are lubricated with a one-shot oiler system. Available with or without longitudinal power feed. This is a very nice knee mill for those looking to step-up from a benchtop dovetail milling machine.

I drove from Houston to the Springfield showroom to look at this mill alongside the other offerings. After a careful evaluation, I determined that I didn't want the China model (G0800) - the finish was too sloppy and rough, the moving parts were sloppy, and the handles drove me nuts.
This model, made in Taiwan, fits the bill nicely. It's sturdy, has good workmanship, and is very rigid. Properly trammed, it fly-cuts a very smooth surface on stainless steel (overlapped, multiple passes). Nice smooth milling cuts. I've used larger knee mills, and find that this operates just like its larger brethren - but fits in my too-small garage. One thought - don't get a huge 6" mill vise like I did. The Y axis won't allow the full movement with a gargantuan 6" vise bolted on.
Overall, I'm happy with this purchase. I bought it for small fabrication tasks (accessories for my woodworking equipment, making my own woodworking tools, repairs of broken equipment, etc). I don't own a machine shop, and wouldn't buy this for a large production operation - but that's not where this is positioned. I think it is a perfect choice for a home shop.
