Overview

Holder is designed to allow free movement of a floating reamer in 3 directions: vertical, horizontal and angular, as required for proper performance of any floating reamer. This allows for a greater accuracy and alignment than other forms of reamer holders. The MT3 taper is 0.938 inches at the largest end.

WAITING FOR FIRST CHANCE TO USE REAMER HOLDER,,, BUT.... 01/26/2017 4:32:41 AM

I HAVE THE LATHE INSTALLED IN SHOP.. CUT MY FIRST PROJECT AND AM QUITE PLEASED WITH THE PERFORMANCE OF THE MACHINE AFTER GETTING GEARS ALL RUN IN AND LAPPED. HAD THE HALF FULL OIL BOTTLE SETTING ON THE TAILSTOCK WHILE RUNNING IN GEARS AND YOU COULD JUST WATCH THE VIBRATIONS DIMINISH WITH EACH GEAR CHANGE.. ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE !!! A LOT OF THE SECRET TO SMOOTH RUNNING IS GETTING MACHINE LEVEL AND TIGHT TO FLOOR.. THE $90 1/2 THOUSANDTH PER FOOT LEVEL WAS VERY HELPFUL IN THIS INSTANCE.. AFTER MANY TRIES WITH SOME METAL BANDING STRIPS AND EVEN CUT, FLATTENED, FOLDED POP CANS AT DIFFERENT CORNERS,,, IT IS SCARY STRAIGHT AND LEVEL !!! LOOKING FORWARD TO MANY YEARS OF PRECISE MACHINEWORK FROM THIS G4003G GUNSMITH SPECIAL LATHE... GRIZZ SHOULD PUT IN A COUPLE OF TURNING TOOLS AND A LIST OF TOOLS THAT FIT THIS SIZE LATHE...I'M STILL GRAPPLING WITH FINDING CORRECT TOOLING AND TAILSTOCK CHUCK FOR DRILL BITS AND CENTERS..... I SHALL PERSAVERE THOUGH......!! THE GUNNEY

A didfficult master! 02/11/2016 3:54:31 AM

I bought this tool recently since some of my tools I made have not shown up since my move and I could not afford another type. I tried a few chambers like it said to and found it difficult to master it's use quickly. If I had more time to develop a system with it, who knows. Created run out, and a couple of pinched fingers.
