So basically there are two Dowlmax Standard and Junior.
- I got the Junior initially due to Budget and it met my needs
- But if your working with mostly 3/4 to 1 1/2 wood the Standard will work
- Also if you going to join like below bottom right narrow to wide surface the Junior is better choice
Basically asside from xtra spacers and such the main difference between the two is the standard come with an adjustable bracket like a vice and the Junior comes with a L Bracket so you mount it were ever with a C Clamp. I use a Ratcheting Bar Clamp/Spreader vs type you turn since it case the dowelmax to move while tightening.
With the standard only need two additional parts
2) 3/8 Bolt (cut the threaded part off)
Additional spacers you can make with hardwood
optional: Digital Caliper (but highly recommend)
