I purchased this nailer as a replacement for the same item. I had purchased this about 10 years ago, given the price, I did not really expect it to last. I was wrong - I got 10 years out of it, and I suspect I would still be using it, except the screws that held the top plate on the feed mechanism fell out someplace (unfortunately the carrying case was long gone), and I lost those and the plate. I suppose I could have loctited the screws in, but every so often a nail would jam and you had to remove that plate to clear it. This new gun has a redesigned mechanism so there is a permanently attached clip to hold the piece on and attached to the gun. I figure on at least another 10 years out of this one (and I use it on a professional level, not home owner).
If I have any complaint it is that they did not update the instruction manual to explain that new clip mechanism - but a moment or two of fiddling around should let you figure it out.
