Excellent edge sander, owner's manual and technical support 01/27/2018 7:57:04 PM

The product arrived and the oscillation wasn't working (simple matter of tightening a bolt which should have been tightened at the factory). But Grizzly tech support was awesome (I fixed it myself but they DID call me back several times to verify that the problem was resolved. It is rare to find a tech support group which actually knows something about their product.) Also, I was blown away by the fantastic owner's manual(s).

Only wish / suggestion: The "table" which is @ a 90 degree angle to the belt is made out of some very, very cheap metal which is actually scratched up considerably (and I only sand wood products - not even sure how it's getting scratched).

The only negative of using the product (and I don't have experience w/ other edge sanders so take this with a grain of salt) is that I must flip every product to sand it properly. I assumed I could press a 12" long board onto the belt and it would sand evenly. It does not. I must sand it one direction for 5-10 seconds and then flip it 180 degrees and sand it the other direction. I don't believe this is a flaw in the product as I don't know how any other manufacturer would do anything different - but it doubles the amount of time I must spend sanding. (But this is still 80% less than the way I was doing it previously.)

I've been using it for about 6 months now and couldn't be happier. I bought a Grizzly 12" planer at the same time (my first Grizzly purchase(s)) and it is solid as well. Grizzly will be my first stop for equipment purchases going forward.
