Overall I'm very happy with this hood. I planned down 100s of feet of pine the other day to give this a good run. Very very little dust and debris escaped from the device, to the point that I took my dust mast off and just wore my ear protection. I do have a couple minor complaints. Generally speaking the hood is made from very thin metal and it does compress (compress not collapse) when you attach it to your dust collector. Now to be fair I have an Oneida V3000 that I just a 7" to and then downsize to a 4" pipe at the machine. If they would have made this hood out of the same metal the stock deflector is made out of, I think that would be an improvement that I'd be willing to pay more money for. That is a nit pic kind of thing, but the second complaint I have does impact function. I tend to plane then down on the lower end of the scale for the machine (1", .75", .5", etc). The exhaust port extends down below the outfeed of the planer and begins to impact the ability of the board to exit the machine on that side of the planer leaving only the right half of the machine to run boards through. All in all, very happy with the hood, especially for the price, but I think a few minor improvements and Grizzly would have a real winner here.
