Bought this motor to replace a 3hp Steel City motor. Finished installing it today using 2" sheaves instead of OEM serpentine pullys (1 was =.75 out of round causing all sorts of vibration), and using Grizzly's link belt. So easy to put together. Start up was great: Very slight motor jump, vibration virtually non-existent, and a nickel placed on edge did not fall over. On stop, the motor took only 4-5 seconds to completely stop with 2 slight motor jumps (thinking great brake system). Local motor would have cost twice this one; none were available anyway. Only thing I had to do was drill holes in the motor mounting plate to match my saws trunnion motor bracket. I do highly recommend this motor to all woodworkers.
