Great product at a great price 09/17/2017 1:01:05 PM

I purchased this slow speed wet grinder to sharpen my scythe and machete blades. An American scythe in particular needs the hollow grind of a 10 inch or greater water stone because it can't be peened like the softer metal of a European scythe. The bevel of my scythe blade is 7-9 degrees, close to that of a straight razor. With a bevel that thin, any high speed grinder would heat the edge and quickly destroy the temper. Last week I had to restore the bevel after hitting a metal strap hidden in a field I was mowing. Thirty minutes work on my G1036 restored the edge and I was back in business. And the price is much lower than any other brand of comparable capability. I have several Grizzly motors and saws and have been very satisfied with each.

Indispensable for sharpening 05/24/2017 10:26:36 PM

I wish I had known this tool existed a long time ago. As an avid outdoorsman, a keen cutting edge for all types of tools is essential. This grinder removes stock as quickly or as slowly as a set of files but leaves a far superior finish. Of course it's also capable of working edges that a file won't cut. It's extremely useful for profiling/thinning both factory and abused cutting edges. A little time with an appropriate hand stone afterwards is all that's needed to finish a razor sharp edge.

Looked for a while to find something like this. IT seems to be just what I needed.
