I have an older G0555 band saw and out of the blue, the top wheel had started losing it's tire. The blade had not been changed in some time and all was well when suddenly, while I was ripping a 2 inch thick piece of poplar, the blade was screeching against the top door. I had seen that the tire was almost off but I just figured it was the blade or that the wing nut that holds the alignment bolt in place had come loose. I put everything back together and the next time I used it, it happened again so I started doing some research. The research on the web showed that I probably needed to replace the tires. I thought about getting Carters or something similar but I hadn't seen any complaints about the Grizzly brand, so I bought these as they were much less expensive. Following the directions on the package, I put them in 160 degree water for about 15 minutes and used a couple of spring clamps to hold it on the wheel while I worked it up over the bottom. I let it cool as it says in the directions on the package and then put my 3/8 inch woodturners blade back on and haven't had a problem since. So far I'm happy with the purchase and have had no problems since the replacement.
