I now have five of my machines on these mobile bases. They have made my shop space much more efficient than it would be if my drum sander, table saw, combination sander, bandsaw, and jointer were all stationary. My shop isn't huge, and for safety reasons, you need to have ample room to move around your equipment unobstructed, when you are processing woods. Using mobile bases like the D2260A allows you to move your machines out of traffic when not in use, and also to quickly and easily move them out onto the floor when needed. All it takes to secure the machine on rock-solid footing is to turn the knobs on the foot posts. Takes half a minute to set up, and half a minute to stow the machine. If you like to make maximum use of your available space, and to work safely and efficiently, you really need to make your machinery mobile! These Shop Fox mobile bases are very tough and well made. Pretty simple to assemble right out of the box too.
By the way, all my major machinery is made by Grizzly. I've been using Grizzly tools and machines for two decades, and never had the merest problem; and when it's time to replace bearings, or drive pulleys, or whatever, Grizzly always has the exact parts and the technical guidance I need to service my equipment. I'm a Grizzly fan for life. And I'm not getting a kickback for saying this- it's the honest truth! ;-)
