Overview
These keyless chucks are produced with an integral shank to maximize concentricity between the body, shank and jaws. They start as a one-piece high alloy body which is turned, then finish ground throughout, making them as close to zero TIR (Total Indicated Runout) as can be. A spanner is provided to ease jaw opening. Takes 7/16"-20 drawbar.

Arrived yesterday so I put it right in my mill to check runout. I dont really have a perfect standard - the one I used has .002 at 4 from collet. When chucked in this keyless chuck, sure enough it read .002 which is good enough for me. It exudes quality and in undeniably beautiful.

Returned, very poor quality. 03/27/2019 11:29:28 AM

By no means a precision item. Run-out was excessive and unpredictable when chucking different sizes. Returned.

    Nice chuck. 12/15/2017 8:39:56 PM

The chuck is well made , although I would prefer it had been made in the USA. The concentricity and runout are within the specified limits.

Great Customer Service 10/29/2017 5:52:06 PM

I bought this about a month ago and the first one had a manufacturing flaw. I contacted customer service, had a return label the next day and a new chuck came three days later.. Excellent care, thank you Grizzly.

This was a replacement for a standard Jacob's chuck attached to an R8 spindle that was bent by about .002". I wish I had done this a long time ago. No more wandering of the drill bits and with the spanner wrench no more slipping and chewing up the shanks of the bits which is common with standard keyed chucks. Best chuck I have ever used.
