G9767 39-Piece SAE HSS Tap & Die Set

A tap and die set with the most common SAE sizes.

The G9767 39-Piece SAE HSS Tap & Die Set comes with 17 sizes, both tap and dies, ranging from 4-40 to 1/2"-20.

HSS (high-speed steel) has been heat treated for hardness and wear resistance, which keeps a sharp edge longer than other carbon steels.

Easily cut new or cleanup existing threads.

Spinning a die on an existing bolt will freshen up the threads. The same can be said for using the tap on nuts and other female threads.

Cutting new threaded holes with the tap is pretty straight forward once the first few turns are completed.

All fractional taps include both fine and coarse threads.
