A long-life titanium nitride coated 2 flute ball end mill.
The two-flute G9880 HSS Ball End Mill features a long-life titanium nitride coating for durability.
The ball end mill has a hemispherical (ball) tip for milling contoured surfaces.
Flute volume is more with two flute mills, but the feed rates are lower.
The fewer number of flutes allows for better chip evacuation.
TiN coated mills last up to six times longer than uncoated mills. They also run cooler and can be ran at higher speeds than uncoated HHS mills.
HSS (high-speed steel) has been heat treated for hardness and wear resistance, which keeps a sharp edge longer than other carbon steels.
Like all Grizzly end mills, the G9880 comes with a 1-year warranty which assures the unit is free from factory defects.
