Shop Fox D2673 Smoothing Plane

A great starter plane for those new to woodworking.

Often the last hand planes used on a wood surface, they are capable of producing a finish that equals or surpasses that left by sandpaper.

It's also a great general-purpose plane for other uses such as planing doors and window sashes.

The D2673 Smoothing Plane will also work well for trimming parts.

The chip breaker helps ''break'' and curl the shavings to minimize tear out ahead of the cutting edge. It also supports the blade to reduce chatter.
