Miter Saw Overview – 12" Double-Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw

A miter saw is versatile and easy-to-use for cutting lumber, framing, and decking as well as fine woodworking such as trim.

The sliding feature of the miter saw gives you the ability to cut wider pieces of wood as the blade can be pulled out and slid back into the workpiece.

The miter range spans from 52° left to 60° right and has indexed stops in between. Those stops allow for quick and secure setting of the most common angles.

The double-bevel action allows for cutting bevels up to 45° on both left and right sides of a workpiece. This allows the user to cut without having to flip a piece over and use complicated math.

A LED work light can be turned on, making it easier to see the cutting area. A laser cutting guide can be used to indicated the cut line of the saw blade.

Making repeated cuts of the same length is quite easy. The adjustable bed extension can be slid out and a flip-up stop on either end of the work surface can be used to butt your workpiece against that stop.

You can build a workstation that integrates the miter saw into its functionality. This makes it easy to position boards and hold them in place while you make the cut. An adjustable hold-down keeps the workpiece snugly to the table.

The saw comes with a dust collection bag installed, but the 1-1/2" dust port allows for a vacuum to be used to pull saw dust from the blade shroud.
