Highly mediocre 09/17/2019 7:08:14 PM

Took a lot of work to tune this plane. The blade is not great and requires frequent sharpening.

I love this rabbit plane. I works great. 04/18/2018 8:56:36 PM

I own several rabbit planes. This one is modeled after the Record #778, and only can be bought on the used market. I have been using Stanley planes for forty years, and love them, however, the fence system is poor on the #78. Record from England improve the fence system, making the plane more stable when planing. Your copy works great and the price is great too. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Good Rabbit plane 01/26/2017 11:22:45 AM

typical tool steel on the cutter, not quite as hard as the more expensive brands. The overall planer is very good. Typical excellent machinework. Nice weight, good strength. I use this occasionally for finishing tennons
