The ultimate gun building vise! 05/19/2019 1:05:55 PM

I purchased this vise to use in my traditional (flintlock) gun builds. The versatility of the base, extreme angle capability, diversity of how to configure the jaws makes this an unbeatable tool. From barrel work to stocks to final finishing, it can all be easily accomplished with this vise.
I also build cigar box guitars and use it for neck work, mounting frets and drilling tuning holes. It keeps my pieces secure.

Wanted one for a long time, but didn't want to pay what they were asking on Ebay. So looked at Grizzly and I found it here much lower price!!! Thanks Grizzly!!!!

I use this vice on the regular. I use It for guitars with the jaw adapters. This is a very usual tool.

This type is a real pleasure to use in holding odd shape parts at a lot of different angles. It makes gunsmithing a pleasure.

An Ideal vise for gunsmiths 06/01/2017 8:55:00 PM

I've had this vise for about 5 or 6 months, and it does everything I need it to do. I am about ready to start the checkering on my 1929 LC Smith 16 ga, SxS FG FW that I am restoring. Used the vise for inletting the receiver to the stock and the forend iron to the forend. And used it to build a new checkering cradle. Highly recommended !!!

Parrot Vise 04/21/2016 2:52:55 AM

I just installed my second Parrot vise and it functions as designed and intended. I have read many reviews regarding the demise of the similar and famous Versa Vise and how nothing currently available measures up. All that sounds like a bunch of sour grapes from elitist toolies. This vise does not have the precision feel of a $500 machinists vise because it is a $55 bench vise but it is capable of firmly holding all sorts of work pieces in almost any position with one turn of the handle.. It has become the go-to vise in our gunsmith shop and we will probably buy several more. I can get three for the price of one worn out Versa Vice on ebay. It is an excellent value like most Grizzly products.
