The lock miter bit is designed to cut two complementary pieces of wood that will fit together like a puzzle.
One piece of wood has a vertical edge with a deep groove cut into it, and the other piece has a horizontal edge with a matching protruding tongue.
When the two pieces are joined together, the tongue fits snugly into the groove, creating a strong and secure joint.
The 45° joint formed by this lock miter bit is often used in the construction of cabinets, furniture, and other woodworking projects.
