DC1209 1/2" Shank, 3/4" 90° V-Groove Router Bit

Our 90-degree V-groove bits feature an upshear design for excellent chip clearance and clean, precise cuts in wood, plastics, and more. Ideal for sign making, decorative grooving, and CNC projects.

The shearing action cuts serves four purposes:

1. Smoother cutting action: The shear angle cuts through the wood more smoothly, reducing chipping and tear-out.
2. Improved chip clearance: The shear angle lifts the chips away from the cutting edge, preventing them from clogging the bit and causing burning.
3. Longer tool life: The shear angle reduces friction between the bit and the wood, leading to less wear and tear on the cutting edge.
4. Self-feeding: The shear angle can create a self-feeding effect, where the bit pulls itself through the wood–especially helpful for plunge cuts

The DC1209 has a 1/2" shank and can be used in either handheld or mounted in a router table.
