DC1351 1/2" Shank 3/8" Double-Fluted Shear Cut Router Bit

A shear cut double-fluted router bit for smoother cuts and grooves.

The shearing action cuts serves four purposes:

  1. Smoother cutting action: The shear angle cuts through the wood more smoothly, reducing chipping and tear-out.
  2. Improved chip clearance: The shear angle lifts the chips away from the cutting edge, preventing them from clogging the bit and causing burning.
  3. Longer tool life: The shear angle reduces friction between the bit and the wood, leading to less wear and tear on the cutting edge.
  4. Self-feeding: The shear angle can create a self-feeding effect, where the bit pulls itself through the wood–especially helpful for plunge cuts

The DC1351 has a 1/2" shank and can be used in either handheld or mounted in a router table.

The router bit used primarily for making straight cuts in solid wood, wood composites, plywood, some plastics, and laminated material.

Made in an ISO 9001 factory
