DC1659 1/4" Shank, 1/2" 90° V-Groove Router Bit
This V-groove bit has an integrated bearing that is the perfect solution for template-guided routing. Easily create duplicate parts, intricate lettering, and decorative grooves with precision and speed. The bearing ensures smooth, controlled cuts while the end-of-bit relief allows for clean plunging. Ideal for sign making, woodworking, and CNC projects.
The shearing action cuts serves four purposes:
- Smoother cutting action: The shear angle cuts through the wood more smoothly, reducing chipping and tear-out.
- Improved chip clearance: The shear angle lifts the chips away from the cutting edge, preventing them from clogging the bit and causing burning.
- Longer tool life: The shear angle reduces friction between the bit and the wood, leading to less wear and tear on the cutting edge.
- Self-feeding: The shear angle can create a self-feeding effect, where the bit pulls itself through the wood–especially helpful for plunge cuts
The DC1205 has a 1/4" shank and can be used in either handheld or mounted in a router table.
Made in an ISO 9001 factory
SPECIFICATIONS:
- Cutter diameter: 1/2"
- Cutting length: 1/2"
