D3781 4-Piece Beading Lathe Chisel Set
Turn beaded spindles the easy way.
The D3781 4-Piece Beading Lathe Chisel Set will perfectly ground half round profiles.
Tapered sides allow closely spaced, multiple beads for complete design flexibility.
Naturally finished ash handles measure 8-7/8" and the HSS (high-speed steel) blades measure 5-1/8" (the 1/8" beaded chisel blade measures 4" long). Overall, the chisels measure 14" long which helps with control.
HSS has been heat treated for hardness and wear resistance, which keeps a sharp edge longer than other carbon steels. All HSS chisels will require regular sharpening.
8" bench grinders are recommended to maintain the proper curve on the bevel. In addition to the grinder, diamond plates will help in honing the edge of your tools in between each sharpening.
The set includes a fitted aluminum case.
Like all Shop Fox chisels, the D3781 comes with a 1-year warranty which assures the set is free from factory defects.
