T33768 131-1/2" x 3/4" x .032" x 3 TPI Hook Premium Gold Carbide Bandsaw Blade
A premium 131-1/2" carbide-impregnated hook blade for ripping boards to size.
Our Premium Gold carbide impregnated blades feature a polished back and sides, as well as our proprietary carbide impregnation process to give you an extremely fast cutting, long life blade.
Hooked blades are most common for long cuts in thicker workpieces. The hooked tooth geometry is aggressive with the hook angled down towards the surface of the workpiece. This helps increase the feed rate through the material, but leaves tearout on the bottom of the workpiece.
Width is an important factor when considering a new blade. The typical range is as small as 1/8" wide to 3/4" wide. This 3/4" wide blade is good for contour sawing with a minimum radius of 5-1/2". For resaw cutting, you will want to fit the widest blade available for your machine.
Typically, there are more teeth per inch for narrower blades compared to wider blades. We sell hook blades in 3, 4, and 6 TPI versions. This means the 3 TPI cut slower than both the 3 TPI and 6 TPI blades.
The 131-1/2" length blade fits 17" bandsaws. Choosing the correct blade for your 17" bandsaw can seem like a helpless task. Using the incorrect blade can dramatically affect your bandsaw’s operation. With this explanation, the factors you would select the T33768 131-1/2" x 3/4" x .032" x 3 TPI Hook Premium Gold Carbide Bandsaw Blade should make total sense for your needs.
