T33131 72" x 3/16" x .025" x 4 TPI Skip Bandsaw Blade

An economical 72" carbon steel skip blade for general cutting with all-around performance.

Skip blades have regularly spaced teeth at 0° rake angle with wide, flat gullets. This configuration leaves a clean cut and helps prevent clogging when cutting soft wood, non-ferrous metals, and plastics.

The more teeth per inch on the blade, the smoother the cut will be.

These blades have the same shape as raker blades, but with a faster and more aggressive cut that is not as clean.

Width is an important factor when considering a new blade. The typical range is as small as 1/8" wide to 3/4" wide. This 3/16" wide blade is great for contour sawing with a minimum radius of 5/16". For resaw cutting, you will want to fit the widest blade available for your machine.

The flex back blade helps with absorbing the stresses of contour sawing. It is heat-treated at the teeth, leaving the back with more flexibility for movement through the material.

The 72" length blade fits 10" and 11" bandsaws. Choosing the correct blade for your bandsaw can seem like a helpless task. Using the incorrect blade can dramatically affect your bandsaw’s operation. With this explanation, the factors you would select the T33131 72" x 3/16" x .025" x 4 TPI Skip Bandsaw Blade should make total sense for your needs.

Here is a useful bandsaw blade chart to help visualize general blade configurations and capabilities.
