A premium 72" carbide hook blade for ripping boards to size.

These steel blades have carbide teeth which will cut faster and stay sharp the longest of all the blades available. The razor-sharp teeth have been precision-ground and the carbide tips are brazed into the pockets. The carbide tip is stronger and can resist more heat than non-carbide blades.

Width is an important factor when considering a new blade. The typical range is as small as 1/8" wide to 3/4" wide. This 3/8" wide blade is good for contour sawing with a minimum radius of 1-1/2". For resaw cutting, you will want to fit the widest blade available for your machine.

Typically, there are more teeth per inch for narrower blades compared to wider blades. We sell hook blades in 3, 4, and 6 TPI versions. This means the 4 TPI cut slower than 3 TPI and faster than 6 TPI blades.

The flex back blade helps with absorbing the stresses of cutting curves. It is heat-treated at the teeth, leaving the back with more flexibility for movement through the material.
