Biscuit Joiner by Grizzly PRO
T31999
A professional quality biscuit joiner at a fraction of the cost comparatively.
Biscuit joiner–featuring Jameson Hawn of Grizzly Industrial
Biscuit joining is one of the quickest, most effective ways to join two pieces of wood. A biscuit joiner cuts half-oval shaped slots into a workpiece. After making matching cuts to the two pieces being joined together, a disk known as a biscuit is glued in the slots. The resulting hidden and reinforced joint is stronger than the wood itself.
Cutting height depends on the workpiece thickness. Setting the cutting height to half the thickness of the workpiece allows for the strongest joint. The Grizzly PRO joiner has a maximum cutting height of 1-9/16" and a maximum cutting depth of 23/32".
This joiner boasts a 1 horsepower motor that has a no-load speed of 11,600 RPM. This easily cuts through even the hardest of hardwoods. You will be hard-pressed to find similar high revving biscuit joiner at this price point.
The fence has the ability to tilt from 0–90°. This allows the use of angled miter joints which hides end- or edge-grain of the corner.
Biscuits come in a range of sizes, which makes it even easier to customize them to your project. The T31999 has a six-position turret stop for cutting 0, 10, 20, S, D, and MAX size biscuits.
The 1" dust port allows for dust extraction through blade housing. A dust bag comes with the joiner or dust collection can be hooked up with an adapter. This not only keeps your work area clean; it keeps unwanted debris from collecting in the tool.
An amazing tool for hobbyist and non-production woodworkers. The price of this tool will more than satisfy your expectations. Shop Grizzly.com for biscuits, glue, biscuit glue bottles, and the biscuit joiner itself.
