Great saw. Use it to get the pieces close enough to Mill.

Good value, but auto shutoff doesn't work because the blade cover hits the saw base 08/31/2019 12:58:39 AM

Pretty decent saw, for home shops. 07/03/2019 12:10:54 PM

So far, seems like a good saw, for my home hobby shop. Not really industrial quality, but good enough for me. The only real complaint is that the cutting table, which is for using the saw in the vertical position, should not have such a big hole, in the center, around the blade. One of the reasons for my buying this saw is for cutting pins for my knife making. The pins are of 1/4, or smaller material, and normally about 1-1 1/2 in length. I only cut one pin at a time, and do not want to have to switch to horizontal mode, but rather just hold the pin stock with my fingers and cut them, quick & easy. The big hole, in the table, makes this impossible, but I will make a table myself, since Grizzly does not offer one with a narrow slot, instead of the big square hole. Actually, the hole is unnecessary, for any other cutting as well.

This saw is just what I was looking for. I am a hobby machinist and this fits into my budget nicely. It arrived on time but had some minor damage from shipping. I contacted Grizzly and they proptly sent out a replacement part. Two thumbs up for good service.

I bought this saw as a replacement for the same size I bought 30 years ago. I am pleased with the saw.

Great product for home shop 05/30/2019 8:58:45 PM

I really like this saw; it is a great tool for the money. It is not ready-to-go out of the box, but I like to tweak and adjust my tooling so I still like the saw. The blade tracking was off causing the blade to cut the blade guide cover. Corrected the tracking and fixed the problem. The upper blade shield near the pulley was rubbing the blade causing noise; I bent the shield away from the blade to fix. The horizontal stop bolt is off location, the iron housing hits on the side of the bolt head. I welded a large flat washer on top of the bolt, problem fixed. The vertical lock does not align with the notch in the iron housing. The housing had flash in the notch; I used a grinder to clean out the notch. The lock bracket would not locate in the notch with the bolt and pin inserted. I widened the slot to allow more movement and locate properly in the notch. Do not pull off the gear box cover to check the grease as per the manual, the gear box is filled with oil! I had a mess, but I like the fact it uses gear oil instead of grease. I like to keep all the machine parts together so I made one modification. All the legs are drilled for the handle, but the handle is only at the switch end. I added two bolts in the handle holes on the motor end so that they protrude out. I then drilled the vertical table to match the bolt pattern. Now I just slide the table onto the bolts; the table hangs there and is available when needed. It would be nice to add a chip tray as someone else suggested and the legs are short if your over five feet tall. The bottom line is it works well

Nice size for what it does. 10/28/2018 3:54:43 PM

I'd like to have seen a fitting for a metal pan under the cutting area to catch cuttings. I am using a cake pan and had to weld up a set of small brackets that don't require drilling.
Just 4 holes in the casting would make things much easier.

good product but not happy 10/10/2018 3:49:13 PM

After putting the stand assembly together i cut 3 pieces of steel that were 1/8" thick x 2" wide, the saw would not start after the third cut. I called customer service, they told me i needed to replace 2 parts. They sent me the 2 parts but i needed to tear the machine apart and replace the parts. I dont feel that i should have to work on a newly purchased product.

Could use more instruction 08/01/2018 11:18:14 AM

After setting up the saw, squaring the blade and making a few cuts I would say it could use more instruction around how to properly square it, and adjust the drop speed. It is vague yet one of the most important aspects of the tool.

Purchased G0622 Band Saw for my home shop. Well made, compact, the vertical option is a great asset

Dynamite Saw! 06/06/2018 2:37:21 AM

I bought this saw several years ago and it has been great. It doesn't cut real big stuff but what fits is getting cut. It makes pretty decent cuts as well as cutting very fast. Nice little saw for a home shop.

Pretty good 04/03/2018 1:03:09 AM

The stand is kind of a pain in the butt to assemble (face the carriage bolts out). You'll spend a lot of time dialing it in, as with most Chinese machines, they're not ready to go out of the box. As for performance, pretty okay on shallow angle cuts, and solid stock. I wouldn't go to steep, I got a ton of blade wandering on a 48.5 degree cut in 3x1.5 14 ga. tubing. all in all, it cuts, but you're getting what you pay for, pretty okay, but definitely not great.

Buy this one - not that other brand . . . 02/20/2018 11:12:04 PM

I owned one of these a dozen years ago and sold it (I NEVER sell tools or equipment - but for some reason. . .) Cut a lot of steel with it in the two years I owned it - never had a problem with it. Found myself in need of another small bandsaw that would do both horizontal and vertical. To start with I drove 130 miles round trip and bought another brand from you know who - because it had a 1 hp motor and I didn't have to wait. Lugged it home and put it together and the motor was bad out of the box - so was the on/off switch, Drove another 130 miles round trip to return it. Received the G0622 today and guess what - runs fine right out of the box. Everything about it is better than the one I bought from you know who, and I mean everything. Buy this one - you won't be sorry you spent a little more and had to wait. It is a WAY better saw.

This was a great purchase, the balanced between price and quality is very good. The
Ability to use this saw in either horizontal or vertical is excellent. Price is great too.

Excellent saw for the money. I really liked the heavy duty cast iron base and the worm drive gearing for the wheels. Very strong cutting. The only con I think of is the stand it comes with could be a little higher and made from a thicker gauge metal. Its not a production machine but a very high end saw for a hobbyist or occasional user. I would highly recommend it to a friend.

Works very well 01/25/2017 10:14:27 PM

Bandsaw works very well on steel..brass and aluminum. The accuracy of the cut is very good after a few minutes with a machinist square. I would recommend this unit to someone who has a home shop. Great tool
