For sanding contoured shapes, this incredible Sponge Sander can't be beat. Sponge drums of various diameters and densities and sanding belts of various grits can be set up on dual spindles to provide flexibility and work efficiency; wide offset spindles also allow working with odd shapes and sizes.
In use at Suhr Gruitars, this unit features adjustable dust hoods, infinitely adjustable belt positions, handwheel and lever controls for quick belt changes, a direct drive motor and one piece stand with oversized stance for stability.
Comes complete with two 4" diameter medium sponge drums and two 120 grit sanding belts; belts can be positioned horizontally, vertically or anywhere between; features cast iron motor housing, two 4" dust collection shrouds, handwheel & lever adjustments for belt tension, heavy-gauge sheet metal stand with storage compartment.
