Due to the extreme sharpness, this abrasive grain provides fast stock removal and a cool cut, known as friable in the abrasive industry.
The medium 80-grit is ideal after primary sanding with 60-grit. It is important to sequence your sanding from a lower number to a higher number without bypassing more than one grit. Doing so may not remove the marks from the rougher grit.
The 2" x 42" size is ideal for use on knife grinders–especially on the Grizzly T32459 Knife-Making Grinder.
