T33779 84-1/2" x 3/4" x .035" 3 TPI Sawmill Blade
A replacement 84-1/2" carbon hook blade for the G0960 Sawmill.
Hooked blades are most common for long cuts in thicker workpieces. The hooked tooth geometry is aggressive with the hook angled down towards the surface of the workpiece. This helps increase the feed rate through the material, but leaves tearout on the bottom of the workpiece.
Typically, there are more teeth per inch for narrower blades compared to wider blades. We mostly sell hook blades from 2 to 6 TPI versions. This 3 TPI cuts way faster than a 4 TPI or 6 TPI blade.
The flex back blade helps with absorbing the stresses of cutting. It is heat-treated at the teeth, leaving the back with more flexibility for movement through the material.
