T33979 Coal Iron Works 12-Ton Forging Press
Master the art of metal shaping with the hydraulic precision of a press Made in the USA.
Want to explore the endless possibilities of metal forming? This 12-Ton Hydraulic Forging Press from Coal Iron Works is built for metalworkers, custom knife makers, and blacksmiths working in small spaces.
This hammered grey machine operates by harnessing hydraulic power to produce force for bending, forging, shearing, punching, and forming metals.
It maintains a high level of quality and consistency in metalworking projects for uniform and reliable results, minimizing defects and reworking materials. The manual valve provides increased control, safety, and adaptability during the shaping process.
The press can be mounted to a bench top or stand in either a down-acting or up-acting configuration. It runs on household 110V, 20-amp power, allowing you to take the press anywhere in the shop.
The press comes filled with hydraulic oil, so there are no added costs to make this machine operational. It also comes with one set of drawing dies. Drawing dies are rounded to elongate material and reduce the cross-sectional area of material.
Because the press is so quiet there is little concern working in a residential setting. It has a normal operating sound range of 70 dB, which is quieter than a telephone dial tone.
