Shop Fox D1701 3" Moulding Head with 1" Bore

A 3" moulding head to be used with 4" spindles.

The D1701 3" Moulding Head with 1" Bore from Shop Fox is designed to be used on a vertical spindle shaper.

It is made of the highest quality aircraft aluminum and CNC-machined to exact tolerances.

The moulding head accepts matched pairs of interchangeable, corrugated-backed high-speed knives (not included).

The moulding head will use either 60° or 90°–cutting corrugations that are spaced 1/16" apart.

The knives lock into position by wedge-type gibs for maximum safety.

The 3" moulding head is ideal for use with Shop Fox and Grizzly’s larger shapers and allows you to use all of the available 2" and 3" cutters.

A 4" spindle is required when using the 3" cutterhead on the Shop Fox W1702 3HP Shaper or Grizzly G1026 3HP Shaper.

The D4927 4" Long Spindle (1" diameter) is a great option if you do not already have a 4" spindle.

The D1701 comes with a one-year warranty which assures the adapter is free from factory defects.
