I have been remodeling a bathroom at home and bought this because I liked the idea of having a sliding saw and I was sick of the very cheap tablesaw style saw we had been using. First off - Grizzly nailed the pricepoint here. This saw came in between the entry level and upgrade models at the local home centers and it have better features to boot.
I cut about seven boxes of 6x14 subway tiles with this. We used it for crosscuts, rip cuts, and notching out around valves and pipes. I performed nicely the entire time, I have very few complaints. The slider action is smooth and easy to operate and the included hold-down clamp is nice and easy to use and does a great job of locking the piece in place and keeping it square. The saw runs as quietly as can be expected and the pump does a nice job of keeping the blade wet and clean. The shrouding on the blade does a good job of keeping the spray contained - we stayed dry the whole day that we were working. The stock blade is pretty good, we cut a lot of tile and saw only minimal chipping.
My only complaints have nothing to do with the operation of the saw - just the form factor. We also had a few cuts to make on the 12x24 floor tiles we were using and the bed of this saw was too short to make a full rip cut down the long edge of those tiles. So if you're using larger format tile be aware of the size limitations of this saw.
