G0879 Flux-Cored Wire Feed Welder
The perfect go-anywhere welding option.
The G0879 Flux-Cored Welder is for both convenience and power. Operating the G0879 really is as easy as carrying the lightweight, 38-pound welder to the jobsite, plugging it in, attaching the ground clamp and you’re ready to weld!
This Wire Feed Welder can work anywhere - even outside on a windy day - without having needing a large bottle of shielding gas!
If you are new to welding, flux-cored arc welding (FCWA or FCA) is one of the easiest welding processes to learn—requiring less material prep and less equipment on-hand to turn out beautiful welds. Flux-core welders can produce cleaner welds than stick welding and offer superior weld puddle control, even on thinner metals.
Everything you need is in your hand with the comfortable grip and finger-activated ON/OFF switch, making those out-of-position welding tasks in the horizontal, vertical and overhead positions a breeze. Whether you’re fixing a steel entry gate at home, reinforcing your tractors bucket loader in the barn or simply working under the car in the driveway, this is a very handy welder for your needs.
When using flux-core wire in either .030" or .035" diameters, there’s no need for shielding gas, which can be blown away from the work area when welding outdoors. Instead, the flux-cored wire creates its own pocket of protective gas, helping keep your weld free of porosity during operation and leaving behind an even layer of protective slag behind as the weld cools.
You will be ready to weld steel up to 3/16" thick with a standard 120V outlet. The high/low setting keeps things simple and provides 70 amps on high, or 60 amps on low, all while doubling the duty cycle.
The G0879 is covered by a one-year warranty covering factory defects and replacement parts. The warranty does not cover consumable parts such as tips. Product support for this equipment is provided by a US based technical support team.
The G0879 manual was written by our U.S. based Technical Documentation Department and is packed with useful information. The complete and easy-to-read manual provides full instructions on how to assemble and maintain your welder.
