Restore or make threads economically using the T34078 Metric Tap & Die set, made from durable steel alloy, and then coated with titanium nitride (TiN). TiN coating contributes to a cleaner and more precise cut, enhancing the surface finish of threaded holes and bolts.

This 45-piece tap and die set includes popular metric sizes to achieve precision threading requirements for both internal and external threads. It includes both plug taps, as well as the corresponding dies of the same size.

Plug taps feature a notable taper at the end, designed for a gradual entry into thread cutting, typically encompassing 3 to 5 tapered threads.

The dies come in 1-1/2" and 2" diameter sizes and have a 2 to 3 thread chamfer for easy threading on one side, and no chamfer on the other.

A die adapter allows the 1-1/2" dies to fit in the 2" die stock.
