T10772 Grizzly Rod #3, .30 Cal to .45
A grizzly rod is used to help set up a rifle barrel for chambering.
These rods are 12 inches long and are the same rods used in the T34156 Grizzly Gunsmithing Video.
Grizzly rods come in different sizes, generally, categorized by the calibers they can work with:
- #3: Fits calibers from .30 cal to .45 cal
While grizzly rods are not caliber-specific, they can be used with various calibers within their size range. This is achieved using different sized pilot bushings.
These bushings are inserted into the grizzly rod and match the specific caliber being chambered.
The T10772 Grizzly Rod #3 only comes with 1 standard .30 cal bushing.
To more precisely fit individual .30 cal barrels, you’ll need the T10783 9-Piece .30 Bushing Set.
These bushings range from 0.2992" and 0.3008" in .002" increments.
