Overview

Get the best of both contractor style and cabinet style table saws right here.

You get the easy to transport weight and size of a high-end contractor saw, but with the dust control and full features of a cabinet saw.

We took our rock-solid 10" table saw platform with a 2 HP motor and added a quick-change blade guard with anti-kickback pawls that can be positioned away from the workpiece.

That clear blade guard features built-in dust collection and a quick-release system for fast and easy guard and spreader/riving knife changeovers.

We kept the heft of having precision-ground cast-iron table and the stability of the cabinet-mounted cast-iron trunnions.

For more efficient power transfer and quiet operation, this saw features a serpentine belt/pulley system.

The easy-glide, two-position fence system quickly adjusts to rip narrow workpieces.

Like all of the Grizzly table saws, the G0899 comes with a 1-year warranty covering parts and assuring the unit is free from factory defects. (Consumables are not covered by the warranty.)

The Technical Support team is U.S. based.

Parts and accessories for the hybrid table saw are available on-line and shipped from the Grizzly parts warehouse in Springfield, MO.

I Love Grizzly Tools 08/08/2020 11:08:10 PM

I have owed the G0899 for about 2 months now,it's a HUGE upgrade from my 30 yr old Sears Craftsman it served me nothing but uneven cuts for years,UGH.
When we went to Springfield and purchased my new table saw, only one dilemma we had our motorhome not a problem for the guys at door 30 they broke it down and put it in the motorhome I love Grizzly.

This saw is exceeded my expectations over and over again,so if you are looking for a new saw buy it only at Grizzly.

Table Saw 2hp 10" 07/26/2020 5:40:53 PM

I have been using this saw for a month and could not be more pleased. While offloading a large heavy box presented a challenge, it was well worth it. I was surprised with the assembly - directions were complete and easy to follow. The real surprise came with how little (almost none) adjustment was required to advance from assembly to operation. This has been a great addition to the shop.

I had a Craftsman table saw for the last 30 years which I used extensively. I decided to upgrade to a more powerful and accurate table saw. After extensive research I bought the G0899 Hybrid table saw. This Grizzly table saw arrived within the promised delivery time promised. It was well packed and did not have a scratch on it. Assembly went without problems. The saw is very well constructed, solid, smooth to operate and accurate in its operation. The difference between my old Craftsman table saw and this one are night and day. I highly recommend this table saw.

Great Product 07/16/2020 9:03:44 PM

Waited while this saw was on back order. well worth the wait. it's a very good saw thats smooth and makes good cuts. I don't do enough wood work to justify a more expensive saw but this is a huge step up from the jobsite saw i had. No complaint although i did have to change an outlet to the self grounding comercial style from the standard 3 prong in my shop/house. put it on the heavy duty mobile base and it locks down solid and rolls away for storage. very happy with this purchase

bought this saw to replace a thirty year old craftsman contractor saw. why did I wait so long. This saw is quiet .smooth and powerful. saw arrived in good shape and was easy to assemble. Be sure to order the 10 amp breaker if you want to run on 220 volt or youll wait another week to run it. After 1 month of ownership im very pleased

Solid saw at a good price! 07/04/2020 5:21:05 PM

I was looking at the G771z, G0899, 1023RL and the G690 for a while now and finally decided to go with the G0899. The steel rails, 110v with 220v option sold me. When I bought this there were no reviews but the mix of price and features made me give it a try anyways. The short story is overall I am more than happy with this purchase and have no regrets it is accurate, has plenty of power and seems to be will built. I added more detail below for those on the fence with this model.

Delivery - The box was pretty beat up on delivery but there was no actual damage to the saw and the guy was nice enough to push it up my driveway and in to my garage.

Assembly - The instructions were clear and I was able to get it assembled in a few hours by myself and it took another hour and a half to get everything dialed in. Aligning the the the riving knife did result in a few small scrapes due to my big hands and the small space. The hardest part was trying to keep my sweat off the cast iron as it was a hot humid Florida day.

Power - My current shop does not have 220 yet and my previous Dewalt cut everything I needed before and the G0899 feels a lot more powerful even on 110v so I really do not think I will miss the 3 hp from the 1023rl or 690. The saw is also much quieter than my old Dewalt, So far I have ran a bunch of plywood up to 2 in thick a 1 in walnut board and a 1.75 inch purpleheart board through it and it cut them all with ease using the included blade so I am happy with the power. I do have a nice Ridge Carbide combination blade I will be using but the included blade is not bad at all.

Fence - I am not a huge fan of the high low fence but I already took care of that by replacing it with a strip of 3/4 HDPE on both sides so I can use it for my router table as well. I routed a t-slot in to the back piece so I can attach my Incra Wonderfence as well. I also moved the fence rails down 1 hole which gives me a bit more rip capacity 38 In" and a few more inches for my router table. There was also just enough room to add my Jessem saw guide as well. However if I did not mount the Jessem rain on a sheet of 3/8 plywood base so I could use Mag switches to make it removable the track would not have been high enough to clear the Hi / Low fence the saw comes with. The measuring tape and eye are worthless I added a Wixey Digital Readout which is very accurate and easy to use.

Dust Collection - The dust collection works really well using my shop vac / cyclone even though I do not usually use the blade guard most of the time I keep the hose on the hanger with a plug so when I am done I just pull the plug and suck up any dust that did not get pulled in and move on.

Get this saw. 06/23/2020 5:18:06 AM

I spent several months comparing many different saws and chose this one because of the increased weight, cast iron wings, and fence system. This saw replaced my old aluminum table craftsman contractor saw. Assembly was pretty easy. A little time consuming but fun. I originally ordered the G0771z but cancelled my order as soon as I saw this model. The enhanced dust collection system is excellent. The blade guard system and riving knife are easy to change and have excellent ability to be adjusted to your preference. The locking knobs on the bevel and blade height handles are great but require two hands to hold the handle steady while locking it in. This is partly because the trunnions are so well balanced. It takes very little to make adjustments. Having 120 volt standard set up was also a plus. One of my first projects included rip cuts through laminated red oak using the supplied general purpose blade. It had no problem cutting through the dense slabs and provided a clean and true edge. There are only two things I wish Grizzly would have done differently on this saw: 1- provide more support for the front and back of the blade insert or make the insert thicker. A zero clearance inserts will have to be purchased directly from grizzly due to the shallow insert well. 2 - provide a blast gate and storage area for the small dust collection hose when using the riving knife alone. Even given the two items above this is truly the best saw for the price.

Really a perfect middle ground 05/29/2020 6:34:35 PM

This is the newer model manufactured after 2/20. Really enjoy it, and think this model with the iron rails and fence, added blade guard dust collection, make the features vs price point very favorable. Looking forward to decades of work with this.
I definitely DON'T regret ditching my original plan to spend upwards $600 for a mobile job site saw, with added accessories, not to mention the additional time to make aftermarket stuff like dust collection, and still potentially struggle with accuracy and keeping it true when working on smaller, delicate, and other cabinet work I will be using it for...
I may have spent double the cost (got this for 10% off during previous sale), but I have a solid, non-frustration causing tool that will last me a very long time and prevent me from needing to look for replacements, or aftermarket anything, for a really long time.
The 0771 model was my original choice, but I thought, "hey, if i'm already going to pull the trigger on a $1k unit, might was well get exactly what I want... more heavy iron/steel (rails and fence) and very effective dust collection." Not regretting this. I'm just using a smaller shop vac, well below Grizzly's CFM recommendations, with a cheap cyclone bucket solution, and I'm amazed at how well it works. No more cleaning my entire shop just after a few cuts!
